Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I’m writing to thank each of you for helping to make this another great year for The Village Chicago, now 450+ members strong.
|
|
There’s so much to be grateful for. The extraordinary knowledge and abilities of our members; more than 200 volunteers of all ages; the leadership of our Board of Directors; an expansive network of community partners; and a talented, caring office team that connects members -- seven days a week -- to trusted resources, to opportunities of all sorts and to each other.
It is generosity of spirit and caring for each other and the world around us that connects us and lets us accomplish so much as a community.
We wish you a healthy and happy holiday season and a great start to 2019.

As we take a last look back over the year you may recall something about or someone at the Village and wish to say “thank you” for it with a
year-end (tax-deductible) gift.
It may be that new or old connection you made at the 9th Anniversary Benefit; or the curious innovation you learned about at our virtual reality longevity event; or the assurance that the Village will be there for you one day. Each thing is special to someone -- and you are all a part of the Village! We are grateful for your commitment and support and look forward to navigating the coming year together.

The “new longevity” means that later life can span 30 years or more. Whether we’re working, retired or farther along on our journey, we all seek well-being, to be valued and to contribute. The Village Chicago is an inclusive membership community of people 50+ that provides services, expertise, social connection, engagement, volunteer opportunities and health/well-being resources - all to support members’ growth and quality of life, keeping us connected to each other, our communities and the city as we navigate longevity together.
