Flowers grow back even after the harshest winters. You will too.
Dear Ella,
Welcome to May, a month that sings with the voices of women. It’s a time when we honor mothers, yes, but also all women — those who have carried life, those who have carried dreams, those who have carried others when they could barely carry themselves.
It is a month that invites us to remember that it takes a village to raise a child, because it also takes a village to hold a woman. A village of sisters, mothers, grandmothers — women who gather to weave a net strong enough to carry the weight of the world and tender enough to cradle the hearts of those still healing.
We are the daughters of women who came before us — those who whispered their dreams to the wind, those who planted their strength in the ground beneath us, those who dared to believe that one day, we would rise. They may not have had the freedom to use their voices, but they passed down their wisdom to us in ways that still echo through time. They left us songs, stories, and the knowledge that our strength runs far deeper than the surface, deeper even than our collective wounds.
In the Rebel Thriver Village, we are that safety net — strong, interwoven, unbreakable. And this May, as we celebrate the feminine spirit, we are also shining a light on My Sister’s Keeper, a lifeline for the women in our community. Because in this Village, no woman stands alone. Whether you’re a mother, a daughter, a grandmother, a survivor, or someone still finding her way, know this — we see you, we honor you, and we stand beside you.
This May, let us hold each other close, in love and in strength. Let us celebrate the wild feminine wisdom that moves through every woman — the unspoken knowledge that binds us across generations, the power to rise, to resist, to reimagine the world when women come together. This is the legacy of the feminine spirit: to weave, to mend, to dream the world into a kinder place.
Much Love, Ella xx

The Feminine Spirit
by Jacqui Fox
| |
That concept of The Feminine Spirit evokes a deep reverence for the intuitive, emotional, and ancient intelligence that women carry through generations.
To me, it speaks of something far beyond biology or gender roles. It’s a tribute to the essence of womanhood, not as a function, but as a force. It’s about honouring the way women see, sense, and understand the world, the kind of wisdom that often goes unspoken, yet shapes families, cultures, and communities.
It’s the wisdom of knowing when to speak and when to hold silence.
The wisdom in holding space for others while holding yourself together. The kind of knowing that doesn’t always come from books, but from experience, intuition, and an inner voice that never lies.
Honouring the feminine spirit means recognizing strength in softness,
leadership in quiet persistence,
and truth in the stories passed down
from mother to daughter, sister to sister, friend to friend. It’s a call to listen more deeply, not just to women’s words, but to what their lives have been saying all along.
To me it’s about having an inner strength and not needing to apologise for it or need to defend it. If people don’t understand it that doesn’t diminish it.
The Feminine Spirit calls for a recognition of the full scope of women’s contributions to society, both historically and in the present day. It encourages an appreciation of the diverse ways in which women influence the world through their knowledge, experience, and leadership. This respect for the feminine is not about placing one gender above another, but about achieving a harmonious balance that fosters greater understanding and collective progress.
| | This May, we shine a light on our community fund. | |
For over a decade, Rebel Thriver has been a sanctuary for women reclaiming their lives after abuse. But the path to freedom is often steep and filled with setbacks. Too many women are forced back into a life they fought so hard to escape simply because they don’t have another choice.
That’s where My Sister’s Keeper steps in. This vital fund provides support to women in our community, offering the resources they need to stay free, stay safe, and rebuild their lives.
If you’re a survivor, know this: You are not alone. We see you. We’re here for you. And we’re committed to helping you stay free from harm.
When you support My Sister's Keeper, YOU become a lifeline for survivors as they embark on building a healthy and safe future, liberated from the shackles of abuse. If you’re able to give, your support can be the difference between a woman staying free or being forced back into the life she’s fought so hard to leave behind.
Our fund is a vital bridge that helps survivors overcome the hurdles they face after escaping abuse. With your help, they can move forward confidently, preserving the hard-won freedom they so deserve.
Stand with us. 💜

I am the Feminine Spirit
By: Jacqui Fox
I do not ask for permission to be strong.
My strength is not loud, not always seen,
but it is real— and it is mine.
I do not shrink to be understood,
nor explain myself to feel accepted.
If you do not see me, I remain whole.
If you do not understand me, I remain true.
There is power in my quiet, in my knowing,
in the way I stand without needing to defend.
This is not pride— this is presence.
I carry a wisdom older than words,
an instinct deeper than logic.
I honor the women before me,
and the woman I am becoming. I am the feminine spirit
— unapologetic, unshaken, undeniably enough.

A Call to the Feminine
By Kyra Strasberg
| |
One of the most wonderful things about being a woman is that we are hard-wired to feel, to think and to manage. We can hold it all, with compassion and empathy and still accomplish Herculean tasks. Our bodies have the chemicals to love, nurture and execute. No questions asked.
While men are scrambling over each other to tell us what to do, it is time for us to educate the world about the divine feminine. Now more than ever, the world is calling for us to explore, explain, and educate what it means to be a woman. It is time to speak up, again.
What does it mean to be a woman? It means we are continually reminded of the life that flows through us. It means that we are strong, deep in our bones, and it means that despite that strength, we can still be soft and loving. We nurture. We have no dog in the fight. We have nothing to prove. We are love. We are light. We are organization. We are mama bears. We are goddesses. We are seductresses. We are everything, and yet sometimes the patriarchal structures of society try to take that away. Our abusers were so afraid of our natural power that they did everything they could to separate us from it. The time has come. We know the truth.
We have been graced with a multitude of gifts. Now is the time to stand confidently and authentically in the way we want to be seen in the world. We have nothing to prove. No apologies. No shrinking to fit a mold. Practicing radical self-care helps us manage the whiplash speed of change. It is essential for us to stop and feel our bodies. That is where our intuition lives: deep inside the core of our womanhood.
I believe that when we get trapped in our minds, it prevents us from living fully in our exquisite female form. What would happen if we deeply reconnected to our bodies and allowed that intelligence to lead us through our days? What would happen if instead of jumping out of the car to get yet another thing accomplished, we sat still and enjoyed a few deep breaths into the essence of who we are? Would something break or would we then be able to walk into the next moment embodying ourselves and our souls more fully?
So often in our culture we are asked to step aside and be dutiful. Take care of the aging parents, the animals, the neighbors, the friends who are sick. We give and we give. That is what women do, and it is beautiful. Though, we sometimes sacrifice ourselves to make sure others are whole. Truly inhabiting our femininity is the single greatest gift we can give to ourselves and to the world. It’s time we slowed down to appreciate the beauty that we are.
Transitions are the gateways to new beginnings, full of potential and promise. They may come with challenges and uncertainties, but they also bring opportunities for growth and self-discovery. As we navigate through these changes, we find strength we never knew we had, and we emerge with newfound resilience and wisdom. Embrace the journey, for each step forward is a testament to your courage and the beautiful transformation that awaits. Remember, every ending is a chance to start anew, and every transition is a celebration of our evolving story.

As we move through this month, let’s honor the wisdom that flows through every woman — the unspoken knowledge passed down through generations, rooted in resilience and love. Our stories, our struggles, and our triumphs are all part of a greater legacy. Together, we rise — honoring the wisdom of those who came before us and carrying it forward into the world.
Please remember that Rebel Thriver is a nonprofit organization. We need your help to continue the life saving work that we do 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We simply cannot offer the support that we do without your donations, which by the way, are tax deductible. Please consider becoming a lifeline to the women of our community, and thank you in advance for your support.
See you in June!
