Trinity Episcopal Church And The Building Bridges Veterans Initiative Host Lunch for Veterans

On July 17, Trinity Episcopal Church in Hampton welcomed 38 veterans from around the Hampton area for a meal in conjunction with the Building Bridges Veterans initiative. The aim is to provide a comfortable, respectful, and non-judgmental space for veterans to gather for free lunch once a month.

In recent months area businesses have partnered with the church to provide the main entree. For the July gathering, local fisherman Mike Miller provided the fixings for lobster rolls. To learn more about the Building Bridges Veterans Initiative, visit their website.

Spirit Bound Digital Mission Resumes Weekly Worship

Sunday, Sept. 15, 7 p.m. on Facebook Live

SpiritBound Digital Mission is excited to continue gathering as an online church community this autumn, says Digital Missioner Rev. Alanna Van Antwerpen, who leads SpiritBound.

She encourages anyone who is interested in the latest news and information about this digital mission to sign up for SpiritBound's weekly e-newsletter. "This program year SpiritBound’s mission as an online gathering place for contemplation, curiosity, and conversation in Jesus’ way of love will continue to deepen," Van Antwerpen says.

Small faith-sharing groups will resume in October with "Spirit Chats," a partnership with the Diocese of Maine Evangelism Task Force. In collaboration with the Reparations Task Force, SpiritBound will be hosting a community conversation in October, as well as rolling out a "Storyteller" media kit. The kit will be for congregations and individuals to share their reparative stories as we strive to heal the breach in our histories and lives.

Feel free to contact Pastor Alanna with any questions and check out the SpiritBound website. "Know that wherever, and whenever, you are on your journey of faith we are SpiritBound," she says.

Love God; Love God’s World

A Small-group Curriculum for those Interested in Creation Care

“Love God; Love God’s World” is a nine-session, film-based curriculum from The Episcopal Church designed for Episcopalians anywhere on the journey with creation care and environmental ministry—from newcomers looking to take their first step to seasoned leaders seeking a transformative small-group experience.

Sessions have a similar structure to the popular Sacred Ground curriculum and include films and readings, faith-based reflections, and discussion questions—each written by a different contributor and drawing from personal contexts and experiences. Participants will discover ways to learn, pray, advocate, and conserve.

Find session titles, authors, and a sample session here; register your small group to get access to the full curriculum.
