Happy New Year to each of you. I realize how challenging this year continues to be for school leaders. I am hearing from principals daily about staff shortages and the impact it is having on the students. How can VAESP help? WE can advocate for your needs on the State and National levels. Our Virginia General Assembly convenes on January 12, 2022. VAESP will be meeting in Richmond to advocate for principals and education. It is ESSENTIAL that the voices of principals be represented. We plan on speaking to our representatives on teacher shortages, salaries, support caps and more. Now is an ideal time to reach out to your zone director and let him or her know what is important to you and what is impacting your ability to perform your job as you would like.
