The Department of Health Invites RNs & NPs to a Virtual Health Engagement Session
The Department of Health will release a new five-year provincial health plan this spring. A series of virtual community engagement sessions will be held in the coming weeks.
The contributions of nurses and nurse practitioners are crucial to the health-care system. The Minister is eager to have nurses and nurse practitioners contribute to this process and has set aside the following time, interested nurses need to register through the link below.
Participants are encouraged to submit questions in advance pertaining to priorities in the health-care system and the future of healthcare in New Brunswick. Please send questions to [email protected] who will ensure anonymity and provide to the Department of Health ahead of the scheduled session.

This year, all registered nurses and nurse practitioners are eligible to vote for NANB's President-elect. The election takes place over two weeks beginning April 15-30, 2021. The three candidates seeking the position are as follows (in alphabetical order):

Sylvie Bernard will become Region 5 director by acclamation and Debbie Walls will be re-elected as Region 7 director by acclamation.

Deadline to submit resolutions: April 1, 2021
Written resolutions must be received by the NANB according to the pre-determined deadline of April 1, 2021 in order to be reviewed by the Resolutions Committee. For details on how to submit a resolution or clarification on the process, contact NANB.

Nurse Recruitment and Retention Survey
The New Brunswick Department of Health wants your input on nursing recruitment and retention incentives. This survey is open now through March 24, 2021 to Registered Nurses and Bachelor of Nursing students.
The Survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete and you can enter a draw to win $100 gift card at the end of the survey. This survey is completely anonymous and can be accessed through the link below.
