Mandatory Continuing

Competence Program 2023

Reminder that completion of the Standards for the Nurse-Client Relationship Learning module is mandatory to renew your registration. To complete the mandatory learning module, log into your My Profileaccount and go to STEP 3: LEARNING MODULE in your 2022/2023 CCP learning plan.


You should be nearing completion of your learning plan. Record all your completed learning activities and evaluate their impact on your practice.

Registration Renewal 2024
Opens October 1st

Your registration must be renewed online between October 1 and November 30, 2023. If you are participating in employer payroll deduction for your registration fees, you must renew online by November 15, 2023. 



To renew online, log in to “My Profile” and access the Complete My Renewal option.

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Registrations Automatically Expire if not Renewed by November 30.

On December 1, 2023, all members whose registration has expired will receive a notice by email. In addition, NANB will be contacting all NB employers to provide a list of members whose registration has expired.

 

Considering a Non-practising Registration, or Resigning/Retiring your Registration

because of an extended leave (maternity leave, sick leave, long term disability, etc.)? Read these tips to avoid unauthorized practice. 


Hours of Nursing Practice

Please note that when reporting your hours of nursing practice for the 2023 practice year, you must report all nursing hours worked, including hours worked with your secondary employer or in self-employment settings.

Preauthorized Debit (PAD) 

option for paying NANB fees

Members have the option to pay annual renewal fees by pre-authorized debit (PAD). The PAD payment option is open to all active practice members who intend to renew their registration the following year.

  • Is there a cost to participate in the PAD program?
  • What if I decide not to renew or to withdraw from the program?

Call For NANB Committee Members

NEAC Committee Members Needed

The purpose of the NEAC is to advise the NANB Board of Directors regarding the standards for nursing education, schools of nursing program review approval status and related outcomes of nursing program reviews.

  • NP Candidate: the ideal NP candidate would be familiar with the NP entry-level competencies, current and emerging trends in nursing practice, preparedness required of new graduates NPs, and clinical practice settings and preceptorship experiences. Experience in educational programs, curriculum development and/or program approval/accreditation would be an asset.
  • Public representative: an individual who has experience with educational programs, curriculum development and/or program approval/accreditation would be an asset.

Resolution Committee Members Needed

NANB is searching for two committee members for the Resolution Committee. The Committee facilitates a call for resolutions from NANB members and receives and screens the resolutions, deeming them suitable for decision at the Annual General Meeting, for direct presentation to the Board, or for action by NANB staff.
