The deadline to submit nominations is March 18, 2022.
Nominations are now being accepted for the position of Directors in Regions 2 (Sussex, Saint John & Charlotte County), 4 (Edmundston) and 6 (Bathurst, Acadian Peninsula). Current Board composition would indicate a need for nurses with professional experience in administration/management, community health (EMP or PH), and or clinical practice.

Opportunity for a Public Member

The NANB Board of Directors currently has three positions for members of the public. The current opening would benefit from an individual with professional experience in finance, and demonstrates the following:
- an interest in health and welfare and in health matters generally;
- previous committee or board experience;
- time to devote to the role and be knowledgeable about the nursing profession; and
- volunteer or work experience that demonstrates acting in the public interest.

Have you completed this years learning module?
Completion of a learning module is a mandatory step in your annual CCP and must be completed to renew your license to practice in 2023.
This years’ Learning module is Standards for Medication Management. The learning module has three components:

Review The Standards for Medication Management;
- watch the webinar; and
- complete the quiz.

Resolution Deadline - April 1

This Business Meeting will highlight the 2021 Annual Report and Auditor's Report .Stay tuned to NANB's website for details as they become available including: agenda, resolutions, proxy voting...and more.
Deadline to submit resolutions: April 1, 2022
Written resolutions must be received by the NANB according to the pre-determined deadline of April 1, 2022 in order to be reviewed by the Resolutions Committee. For details on how to submit a resolution or clarification on the process, contact NANB.
Online registration will open on April 1, 2022. Deadline to register is May 6, 2022.
Space is limited. Priority access to the virtual platform will be given to registered members ahead of observers and students.

NP & Public Director Needed on NEAC
|
|
|
NANB is searching for a public member and a Nurse Practitioner member for the Nursing Education Advisory Committee (NEAC). The committee advises the NANB Board of Directors on program review and approval status of schools of nursing in New Brunswick. The number of meetings fluctuates based on the review and approval schedule, in general 2-4 meetings/year, each meeting lasting approximately 1-2 hours. Meetings are held virtually. Individuals with experience in educational programs, curriculum development and/or program approval/accreditation would be an asset. If interested, contact ksheppard@nanb.nb.ca.

NB Breast Cancer Screening
|
|
|
The New Brunswick Cancer Network (NBCN), in collaboration with a multidisciplinary advisory committee, has developed a Stepwise Approach to Breast Cancer Risk Assessment – Healthcare Provider Tool to help healthcare providers assess their patient’s risk of developing breast cancer and the recommended screening strategies.
