Join us in-person or virtually via zoom for this year’s AGM on May 9, 2023 at the Delta Hotel Fredericton. This Business Meeting will highlight the 2022 Annual Report and Auditor’s Report. Also, NANB will welcome guest speakers, Dr. Karima Velji: Chief of Nursing and Professional Practice (CNPP), Ontario and Kevin Ryan, Registered Nurse, Inspirational Speaker, and Songwriter of “Nursing Stories and Songs”.
The AGM is free to all registered and non-practising members, as well as nursing students and observers. Lunch will be served on site. Registration is required, as space is limited.
*Virtual participants must join using their own device to be verified and validated as a registered NANB voting member. Details will be communicated to all registered participants.

For this year's Awards Banquet, we are offering 25 complimentary ticketsto registered members interested in celebrating fellow nurse colleagues.
The Awards Banquet will be hosted at the Delta Hotel Fredericton on Monday May 8 from 5-8pm.

CNPS Assistance Review Committee (ACR)
NANB is looking to appoint a member to the CNPS Assistance Review Committee (ACR).
Please note the following:
broad clinical experience is an asset,
orientation to roles and responsibilities is provided,
there is no time limit to the appointment, and
videoconference are often convened on short notice do to the need to respond the nurse promptly.
The Canadian Council of Registered Nurse Regulators (CCRNR) led a review to update the ELCs for NPs in New Brunswick to ensure they reflect evolving population needs, health care system, and NP practice. This also helps to ensure that ELCs are current and consistent across the country. The NP ELCs were informed by an environmental scan, literature reviews and extensive stakeholder consultation, including a national bilingual online survey available to all registered NPs. The revised NP ELCs will come into effect January 1st 2024. Read more....
Misinformation is hard to avoid in today’s digital media age and this problematic information can have serious consequences for public health and safety. NANB’s newly published fact sheet on misinformation and disinformation aims to help nurses better understand this phenomenon, their professional and ethical accountabilities when sharing information, as well as strategies to mitigate potential consequences of health misinformation.
