Summer is just around the corner, and that means one thing: VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL! This summer, we will be “Anchored” as we deepen our faith in God. At Anchored VBS, kids embark on an undersea adventure, diving deeper in their faith and discovering the unwavering love of God! There will be Bible lessons, food, games, singing, arts and crafts, and Diver Diva! VBS is for kids entering pre-k through sixth grade. Fifth and sixth graders will also have the opportunity to participate in local missions with Pastor Romnie throughout the weekend. Mark your calendars and invite your friends for an incredible weekend this summer.

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever." 1 Chronicles 16:34

We will gather July 16th from 5:30 - 8:30 PM, and July 17th from 9:00 - 11:30 AM for food, fun, and fellowship. On Sunday, July 18, we will conclude VBS weekend with the kids participating and sharing in worship at the Beacon service with a church-wide ocean-themed lunch to follow. You can register your child(ren) at

Of course, adult volunteers are needed. Please contact Loren at or 903-932-1289 if you would like to volunteer.

Attention men of all ages!

Have you noticed a gap in your spiritual life? Do you just not think much about God, His church, or His people between Sundays? Here's something that could help!

Thursdays with Jesus is doing a post-COVID reboot to Tuesdays with Jesus! TWJ is a small, low-impact book study group where passages are read aloud during the meeting with pauses to discuss what was read and any insights. Please note, you DON'T have to agree with the author or anyone else's opinions. No read-ahead is needed, and you can always catch up if you miss a meeting.

Meetings are every Tuesday at 5:30 PM in room 303, and typically last an hour. We've just finished reading Reading for the Invisible God: What Can We Expect to Find? by Philip Yancey. Our next book was recommended by Pastor Dave and is Erasing Hell: What God Said About Eternity, and the Things We've Made Up by Francis Chan & Preston Sprinkle. This study will begin on April 20. You don't have to buy a copy of the book - just come and listen if you want to, and if you decide later you'd like to read the book, we can loan you a copy!

Contact the church office for more details on TWJ.
