SHARING OUR EXPERTISE
Did you know that Children's Advocacy Center of Collin County was one of the first children's advocacy centers in the state of Texas? Since its inception in 1992, the Center has grown from a staff of three to a staff of 52. CACCC has served as the gold standard for child abuse intervention; offering services to 100% of children and families affected by child abuse, without a wait list.
Just this month our staff presented five workshops at the internationally recognized Crimes Against Children Conference. Recognized as experts in our field, other CACs from across the nation often visit our Center to gain knowledge and expertise from our staff and team members.
Last week, we were visited by Jessica Ortiz Melgar, an attorney from Guatemala who served on the board of directors for Kids Alive International. She is hoping to implement the CAC model in her country to serve children victimized by child abuse and neglect, and visited our Center for a look behind the scenes.
