November 2019
OCTOBER STATS

In October, 348 children spent time in our Activity Center. Additionally, our Therapy Department provided 1,071 services to 371 clients and family members, our Forensic Interviewers conducted 84 interviews, and the Family Advocacy & Support Services Department provided 1,190 services to 425 clients.
GIVE BACK CHILDHOOD

So much is stolen from a child who has suffered the horrors of abuse and neglect - hope for their future, their safety and comfort, confidence and sense of self-worth. The list is endless, and the statistics are staggering. A child has a greater risk of being sexually abused than of being in a car accident – and 73% of them will never tell a soul. This is the reality for some children, and without our community’s help, hope could be lost.

Every day, the heroes who work at Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County help families find hope. There is hope when a Forensic Interviewer helps a child have a voice so they can begin to take their life back. There is hope when our Family Advocates connect non-offending family members with the resources they need during their crisis so they’re able to concentrate on supporting their child. There is hope when our therapists help children feel valued again and help them heal. There is hope for our community when a perpetrator faces justice due to the tireless work of our multidisciplinary team, ensuring that offender will never hurt another child.

Every day in Collin County, a child needs our help. Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County will be here for them. Together, we can Give Back Childhood. Will you join us?
