Holy Week in an Eggshell is an interactive worship service for children of all ages. This worship service will be on Wednesday, March 31st, at 6:00 PM in the Faith Center. It is a wonderful opportunity for children to learn and understand this pivotal part of our faith as Christians in an age-appropriate way.
Holy Week is an exceptional time for Christians. Holy Week, the last week of the season of Lent, is called Holy Week because it is the last week of Jesus’ life on Earth. And a lot happened during that week for Jesus and his friends! Together we will experience Palm Sunday - when excited crowds shouted and sang and laid palm branches at Jesus’ feet. We’ll learn about the Last Supper and have a chance to imagine what it would have been like to be at that particular meal with Jesus and his friends. We will come to the cross as we remember how much Jesus loves us.
Jesus taught us how to live - to know God and do God’s will even when it’s hard. He taught us to care for others and show them love and kindness all the time. Jesus gave us unique ways to remember him and to be with him. And most importantly, Jesus loved us so much that he made it possible for us to live with him forever! So as you prepare to celebrate Holy Week, we hope you will take time to come with your family to the Holy Week in an Eggshell service and worship together.
In Christ,
Loren Buchanan
