May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Today, I greet you with a well-known Irish prayer which seems fitting in today’s times. In 2020, as we departed from our February Senior Adult Ministry Lunch we had no idea how long the journey would be until we met again. Through a two year journey, many events have happened, many losses endured, and many hearts left aching but through it all with God’s help we have endured, remained faithful and pressed forward to reunion.
EPIC Senior Adult Ministry invites you to our reunion at the Prime Time Luncheon and Program on Thursday, March 17. If you have never been to our Luncheon Program, you are in for a treat and those who are returning, we are celebrating traditions with a little “new” thrown in. At Prime Time, no one is a stranger and all are welcomed at the door. A delicious meal with nods to Ireland and great entertainment from the Celtic group, Pangur Band, are in store for you in the Faith Center. This wonderful group all hail from East Texas, are professional musicians, and claim Irish roots. Many have played in our church during Advent and Easter seasons.
As we begin to reconvene together, I share this ancient prayer to remind us: God is present with us like the wind of Pentecost, His tender mercies shine like the sun rays upon our faces, and His provision and care is like the rain that creates growth and provides sustenance. Though the road may not have always rose to meet us, God was with us in His presence and strength.
He will continue to do so as we celebrate, remember, laugh and encourage one another on the road in 2022.
