Men’s Retreat, Saturday, May 18 - 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM

The Men’s Ministry at FUMC Longview is hosting a day retreat for the gentlemen of our church at Double E Ranch, located at 4601 Bobwhite Rd., Gilmer, TX 75645.

Sign up is available online at . There is no cost, but donations are accepted for the barbecue lunch prepared by our own Men’s Ministry Pit-master, Stephen Scott, who has a great selection of venison sausage to serve with BBQ chicken and fixings.

Men’s Ministry is new to our congregation, and it is focused on growing disciples through fellowship and service. The fellowship that this ministry offers is the launch point of what we want to provide for the men of FUMC Longview. Men of all ages gather each month, except July, to bowl and have lunch. But, the month of May is our big event for the ministry at Double E Ranch! It's sure to be a fun time, complete with kayaking, skeet shooting, fishing, and so much more.

Not only does the Men's Ministry offer fun and fellowship for our men, but we participate in several outreach and mission opportunities within Longview and our church. In April, our Men's Ministry event was building Beds of Hope during Love Does. We made many beds for foster children in the East Texas area. There are two additional mission days ahead in July and December where our men will gather to help Newgate Ministry.

So, keep an eye on The Voice and the church website for monthly Men’s Ministry events at FUMC Longview! This ministry is such a great way to meet new friends, have a great time hanging out with other Christian men, and find a place to grow as a man of God in mission. The May 18th day retreat is a great place to start for those who haven't joined us in past events. We hope to see you there, and please don't hesitate to contact me at with any questions you may have about the retreat, or about the Men's Ministry in general.
God bless,

Pastor Nathan
