CT Taylor joined this past Sunday, May 8, at the 10:45 Beacon service.

We had over 170 in attendance at our Cinco de Mayo celebration at the Beacon Center! In collaboration with the East Texas Food Bank, we served 116 individuals from 43 households in food distribution. Thank you for being a Beacon of Hope for All!

Summer is quickly approaching and that means…Vacation Bible School!!! VBS this year will be 3 evenings (June 22, 23, & 24) full of crafts, stories, games, snacks, music, missions, and fun! We will begin at 6:00 pm and end at 8:30 pm each night. Our theme is Spark Studios...Created in Christ, Designed for God's Purpose.

Of course, all of this needs a dedicated group of volunteers to make it happen. Volunteers will be rewarded with great memories and valuable friendships as they share their time and faith with children. Click on the link below to select which area you would like to help with, or call the church office to sign up!

Our last Wednesday Night Live Spring meeting for children Pre-K to 5th grade is TONIGHT May 11th from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. We will celebrate a great year together with yummy food, games, and a special treat! We have a special summer event coming to Longview FUMC! Dr. Dan Bellamy is an experienced minister and storyteller who uses “blown-up stories” to share biblical truths and bring the Bible to life. Mark your calendars and invite your friends! This is a free outreach event, so share the excitement with others and let’s show God’s love in a fun, exciting way!

Youth Ministry is looking for hosts for Wednesdays in June and July. We keep our meetings going in the summer usually around pools or lakes. We meet from 6-8 p.m., bring our own food, and we clean up after ourselves. If you would like to consider hosting us we would be most appreciative. Please contact [email protected] or call the church office for any questions or willingness to host.

We had a great visit at the Longview Arboretum and Nature Center! We made it despite the rain and it was beautiful. Many thanks to Director Steve and staff for a great visit and taking good care of us! FYI - Senior Citizens receive free admission on Wednesdays!
