September 9, 2020
Looking for something to do that is socially distanced, fun for all ages, and will grow your knowledge about our Lord? Look no further!

Everyone is invited to join us at the FUMC Faith Center on Sunday, September 20th at 3:00 PM and 5:30 PM for “The Amazing Chemistry Show.”

“The Amazing Chemistry Show” is a fun yet educational show filled with explosions, colored foam, liquid nitrogen, and glow-in-the-dark solutions! This high-energy science show is fast-paced, includes hilarious audience involvement, and will inspire you no matter how old you are! The audience will hear the gospel story as it is illustrated with science experiments on stage.

We are working to create a safe, COVID-19 friendly environment. There are limited tickets available for each show to allow for social distancing. Please stop by the church office Monday - Friday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM to pick up your tickets. All minors must have a COVID-19 liability waiver on file. The last day to get your tickets will be Wednesday, September 16th.

We look forward to seeing everyone on at "The Amazing Chemistry Show!”

10:45 AM - worship in the Faith Center
10:45 AM - worship live-streamed on Facebook & website

9:40 AM - Sunday school for adults (please see the Sunday school room assignments flyer below)
9:40 AM - Sunday school for youth in the Youth Wing
9:40 AM - Sunday school for children in the Cook Foyer
The Sanctuary is (almost) finished!
Join us this Sunday before or after worship service for a sneak peek at our newly remodeled Sanctuary! Our pews will be there too, just not bolted into the floor. We can't wait for you to see the changes at FUMC Longview.
As we move through our worship sermon series "Who Do You Say I Am?" this fall, each Wednesday we will provide you with some discussion questions, a prayer, and an action item. You can also find these items on our Facebook page each Monday at noon!
Week of September 6

Text: Matthew 18:15-20

Questions:
  • In life we will always have conflict, what is your primary response in a conflict?
  • Our text this week centers around accountability, how can accountability lead to unity in the church?
  • Often used to describe what happens during a prayer meeting, why does it seem that our prayers and petitions are more powerful when 2 or 3 (or more) are gathered?

Prayer: For the prayer this week, try to find someone to pray with, if possible. Spend time beforehand talking about what is on your heart so that during your prayer time you will be united as you present your petitions before God.

Action Item:
Who do you need to reach out to this week in order to resolve a conflict?
We are excited to expand our worship opportunities beginning September 20!
Please note that ALL gatherings at FUMC - including worship and Sunday school - require social distancing and masking. We thank you for doing your part to keep our church family safe!
ATTENTION PARENTS OF CHILDREN OF ALL AGES!
Please remember that we must have a COVID-19 and Liability waiver on file for each child (Newborn - 18 years old) before they can participate in any event; Sunday School, Wednesday Night Live, etc.
