Please remember to bring in your Fish Bank for our special offering. It will be great to see the offering plates overflowing again with our gifts. For an interactive world map that shows where OGHS recipients are located follow this link: http://specialofferings.pcusa.org/oghs70 .

In addition, we will receive the One Great Hour of Sharing special offering of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). We invite you to give generously on April 14.
Join us to Bless a Faithful Witness
For decades the Red Oak tree along Church Street has stood as a graceful and yet silent witness to God’s amazing creation. The tree has sheltered the Memorial Church facility through many seasons and been a blessing for countless students and visitors, community and church members.

In 2019, the tree is in decline. Additionally, the handicap ramp construction scheduled to begin after Easter necessitates that this tree be removed.

On Sunday, immediately following the postlude you are invited to join with the Trustees and Facility Planning Team at the oak for a short Blessing of the Tree.

What is a Spiritual Practice?

A spiritual practice is any regular and intentional activity that establishes, develops, and nourishes a personal relationship with the Divine in which we allow ourselves to be transformed ( www. http://spiritualpractice.ca/what/what-2/ ) A Daily Spiritual Practice establishes and provides us with a foundation upon which we can build a new perspective of life and our role in the experiences of life. A Daily Spiritual Practice deepens and expands the awareness of your connection to your Source https://innervisionsworldwide.com/daily-spiritual-practice/

Sundays, 11:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m. ~ Seminary (104 E. Church St). Brown bag lunch encouraged, beverages provided. Childcare provided at the Memorial.

This Sunday ~ April 14 – Caring for Creation:
Re-connecting Through Inconvenient Practices
  • This highly interactive workshop will focus on how inconvenient practices -- mending, hand-weeding, picking-up litter, washing -- can help us repair our physical and spiritual relationship with God's creation. In contrast to commercial culture's focus on avoidance of tasks that are slow, this Lenten practice uses process as a porthole for spiritual engagement with the ever-changing flow of life. Please bring an item of clothing or textile that is in-need of repair, and appropriate colored thread / yarn for repair if you have it. Other tools will be provided.

This year the money donated for the Deacon’s Lenten Food Drive will be applied towards our Church’s $10,000 goal to support TOPSS. Donations can be placed in the offering plates with the note “Lenten Food Drive” on the memo line of the check or on the outside of the envelope if the donation is cash. Live Into Hope
I do not at all understand the mystery of grace -
only that it meets us where we are
but does not leave us where it found us.
