Ministry News and Upcoming Events
What an extra-ordinary Lenten journey! With so much of the world, our congregation has experienced a wholly new wilderness time as we face the challenges of COVID-19.

Though the pandemic will likely persist for weeks to come, our faith in Jesus Christ offers us the community and resources for every step of the way. We encourage you to join one another through livestream on the  Oxford Presbyterian Church Facebook page  as we mark these turning points of Holy Week.

Palm/Passion Sunday  - This Sunday, worship will begin with Jesus’ astonishing entry into Jerusalem and then embrace the life changing story of Jesus’ passion according to the Gospel of Matthew. Gather branches from your home and garden to join us in singing “Hosanna, Loud Hosanna.”

Maundy Thursday  - Please join us on Thursday, April 9 at 6:30 p.m. as we engage the scriptural story of Jesus’ last night with his disciples. The Maundy Thursday liturgy will include the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper via Facebook Live. As we observe the sacrament together, we invite you to prepare elements of your own at home (bread, grape juice, etc.) as we will partake of the Lord’s Supper in a guided way together. If you have questions or would like assistance connecting to our church Facebook page, please contact the church office  here.

Easter Sunday  - Let’s celebrate the God’s miracle of life and Christ’s gift of salvation! Join us for the prophetic proclamation that “Christ is Risen!” next Sunday at 10:00 a.m. for a joyful Easter Service of Worship with the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper.

Daily Morning Prayer  - We approach Holy Week during a year when our lives are truly BEING changed in many ways. Give yourself a gift with a moment of BEING. Join us for a moment of daily prayer at 8:30 a.m. from Monday, April 6 through Saturday, April 11. Each day Pastor Lawrence and Pastor Marc will take turns leading a time of guided prayer as we prepare for Easter Sunday. Join the livestream of Daily Morning Prayer on the  Oxford Presbyterian Church Facebook page.
Serving Together in This Season
The “Network of Care” is a growing list of adults who are ready to provide meals, pick up groceries and medical supplies, and much more. Please contact our church office at 513.523.6364 or  email  if you have a need, or know of anyone who has a need during the COVID-19 pandemic. The “Network of Care” is ready to help!

Our Deacon’s Lenten Food Drive continues. Monetary donations may be mailed to the church office with the note “Lenten Food Drive” on the memo line of the check.
Share Pictures with Your Palms from Home
It is time to get creative! Instead of waving our palms and branches together in the sanctuary during worship this year, we would like to invite your family to share pictures with our church Facebook page of palms or branches that you have collected from home or outside. You can share pictures of your family waving palms together, lay them out outside, acting out the Bible story, or being silly. Get creative! If you would like assistance sharing your pictures with us, please e-mail  office@oxfordpresbychurch.org , and we'll be happy to help share them for you.
Collection of Coin Banks
In lieu of collecting our boxes on Palm Sunday this year, we would like to ask for any gifts that would ordinarily arrive through fish banks to swim upstream through online giving this year! Until we gather for worship in person again, we encourage our young disciples to find a place somewhere in your home where you can display your fish bank as a reminder of the importance of serving our neighbors as Jesus served us.

Your Stewardship Matters

During these days of social distancing, our connections to one another and our mission in the community matter more than ever before. Your gifts matter and make an impact as we adapt together to COVID-19 in our neighborhood. To give online  both conveniently and securely, you may access our online giving opportunity from your computer at https://onrealm.org/oxfordpresbychurch/Give .
