Your Voice Matters
Whatever is foreseen in joy must be lived out day to day.
-  Wendell Berry, Kentucky farmer and poet

We wholeheartedly believe that God is actively working through us during this pandemic. Jesus is sowing seeds today for a future harvest that will transform us and our community.

During these months of reflection and quarantine, what new possibilities have you imagined for our congregation?

We want to hear from you!

From the visionary to the specific, what seeds is Christ planting that will bring new life to our congregation and community?

Your voice matters.

Share your inspiration and prayers for the future by clicking here.

Through these challenging days, let us live out our calling as Christ’s disciples to worship, connect, witness and serve in new and creative ways. We may be nurturing the seeds of the next reformation.
Celebrating 164 Years of the Presbyterian Church in Colombia
For over twenty years, our congregation has grown in Christ through a mission partnership with a sister church in Colombia - the Seventh Presbyterian Church of Barranquilla. During this time, we've participated in the Colombian Partnership Network through the Presbytery of the Miami Valley.

Our presbytery has been invited to join in the celebration of 164 years of Presbyterian worship and witness in Colombia during the month of August. An invitation has been extended from Rev. Gloria Ulloa, Executive Secretary of our partner Presbytery of the North Coast, to mark this moment for the Presbyterian Church of Colombia (Iglesia Presbiteriana de Colombia) by participating in several events occurring by Zoom or through social media platforms:

Wednesday, Aug 19, 7 pm Eastern time:
  • Colombia: Reformed education and peace-building

Wednesday, Aug 26, 7 pm Eastern time: Colombia:
  • Book launch, IPC testimonies for peace

English interpretation will be available for these events.

Contact Larry Hollar (larry.hollar@miamipresbytery.org) for more information regarding access to the interpretation and links to the activities.

September Newsletter
Read any good books lately?

Share what you like with your friends in the September newsletter. Send me a title of a good book or share the name of your favorite author. Include a sentence or two telling why you especially enjoyed the book or like the author. For example: I loved My Life with Popeye the Sailor Man by Olive Oyl. It was a good tell-all, including stories about the Jeep, and even included some tasty spinach recipes. Send your recommendations to Nancy Moeckel moeckenj@miamioh.edu or give me a call at 523-6003. This will be a great reading list for us all!
2020 Census
The Census Bureau is reaching out to faith communities around Ohio. They report that less than 50% of the residents in central Oxford have responded to the 2020 Census. Completing the 2020 Census helps inform the critical data that affects our voice in government, the funding in our community and how our community plans for the future.

Please talk with your family members, friends and neighbors. Encourage them to fill out the census. Visit www.MY2020Census.gov or call 844-330-2020 to complete the census or learn more.

The 2020 Census is more than a population count. It's an opportunity to share our community's future!
Fall Rummage Sale - Cancellation
The Oxford Presbyterian Women are following the Ohio Governor’s recommendations to keep us safe during this COVID-19 pandemic. In order to practice social distancing and safety for our workers and our community customers we have decided to not hold a Fall Rummage Sale this year. This will of course affect our OPW revenue and our ability to support our missions. If you would like to help support our missions, you can send a check to OPW and put rummage in the memo line. Mail checks to OPW, Debbie Davidson, Treasurer, 101 N. Main St., Oxford, OH 45056
Your Stewardship Matters

We are surrounded by God’s benefits. The best use of these benefits is an unceasing expression of gratitude.
-  John Calvin

With the continuation of this pandemic, your stewardship remains as vital to ever as we increase mission support of our community partners, gather for worship via livestream, and faithfully connect in new and creative ways. Your gifts matter and make an impact as we respond together to the impact of COVID-19.

In lieu of a contribution to the physical offering plate, we would encourage you to mail your pledge/tithe to the church office or give through one of these digital avenues. To give online both conveniently and securely, you may access our online giving opportunity from your computer at https://onrealm.org/oxfordpresbychurch/Give.
