Celebration At the Manger -- A BIG Thank you!
A HUGE thank you to Carla Blackmar and all our wonderful children, youth, and adult performers for a tremendous “Celebration at the Manger” we enjoyed last Sunday! One person whose contributions we neglected to recognize last Sunday is the wonderful Nick Fears. Nick assembled the scenery, set up the amplification, and managed the sound levels for "Celebration" both this year and last -- and did so with such gracious expertise that his important contribution was overlooked. Thank you Nick, and thank you everyone who contributed to our joyful worship last Sunday.

The Christmas pageant was an endearing success as always, and we couldn’t have done it without all your hard work!

Oxford Empty Bowls 2019

Dear friends,

As we have now shared on our  Oxford Empty Bowls Facebook page , we are delighted to announce that, thanks to the amazing generosity of our luncheon guests, potters, wood turners, contributing artists, volunteers, sponsors, partners, donors and publicists, in this, our 17th year, Oxford Empty Bowls raised over $11,300 in support of the  Talawanda Oxford Pantry and Social Services, Miami University's Student Success Center's Miami Cares Food Pantry/ Crossroads Oxford  Outpost, the  St Mary Church  BackPack Program, and the  Open Hands Food Pantry  and their efforts to provide support for those in need.

So whether you were new to Empty Bowls this year, are a long-time supporter, or helped in the past, it is our collective effort that enables impoverished families in our community to have food on their tables; because of YOU hungry people will eat.  From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being an essential part of this success!
Living Into Hope

Christmas Eve was a night of song that wrapped itself about you like a shawl.
But it warmed more than your body.
It warmed your heart... filled it, too, with a melody that would last forever.
Even though you grew up and found you could never quite bring
back the magic feeling of this night,
the melody would stay in your heart always -
a song for all the years.
