Ramp Construction Update
In the midst of this wet weather, work on the ramp continues behind the scenes.

Our contractor has recommended changes to the finish of the railing. The contractor and architect both have seen samples of the powder coating on the railing. They feel the new finish will increase the functional and aesthetic durability for years to come. The powder coating process will likely be completed after July 4th.

The stonework will be completed as weather allows and once the railings are finished they will be installed as well.
OPC Relay for Life
Our church will be fielding a Relay for Life team this summer for the event that takes place tomorrow Saturday, June 22, 1:00 pm - 10:00 pm in uptown Oxford. Relay for Life is an annual event through the American Cancer Society where people help raise money for research and education to help fight Cancer. We are always looking for new people who would like to join our team and join us in raising money to fight Cancer.

As a team, we work together to raise money by asking our friends, co-workers, and family to financially sponsor us as members of the team. We also spend time together in fellowship during the Relay event as well as during a yard sale that we will have on Saturday, June 29. Our church as fielded a team since the start of the Relay in Oxford, and we have perennially been one of the highest fund raising teams in Oxford. In 2017 and 2018, we raised over $15,000 and we were the number one team in all of Oxford. Our church team usually has about 12 members and we are always looking for more people to join us. If you are interested in joining us in this fun, worthy cause, please contact Janet Holmes, 513-255-7229.

Ministry in the Modern World
Certain members of the church family received on Thursday morning a very unusual message asking for a favor purported to be from Pastor Lawrence. The message is a scam -- do not respond or interact with the sender of that message. The subject line of the message will likely read "BLESSINGS (followed by your name)"

Someone has set up a fake email account ( presbysterianpastor@gmail.com ) to impersonate Pastor Lawrence. This phishing scheme has been reported to Gmail.

There seems to be a pattern to these suspicious messages. If you receive any unusual emails, we would appreciate it if you would call the church office and let us know. We wish to track any discernible patterns.

Thanks again for your work throughout our ministry - including this ad hoc cyber-security task force.
