Seminary Cinema Presents: "Fundamentalism on Film" Series
Join us this Saturday, May 18th, for the third and final film in our Fundamentalism and Film series, “The Apostle”. At The Seminary Cinema, 104 East Church S. (white building on the corner of Church and Poplar).

Pre-film discussion begins at 3:30 p.m. Film begins at 4:00 p.m.

Please note the film in this particular series may be more mature in nature and not suitable for younger audiences.

Following the movie we will have a Salad Supper. Please bring in a favorite salad to share!
Ramp Construction Continues
Every house has a builder, but the Builder behind them all is God. Hebrews 3:4 

Once again this week, all those attending Sunday worship services are encouraged to enter the Memorial Church sanctuary through the courtyard entrance. Ushers will be ready along the sidewalk to support anyone for whom extra assistance would be helpful. A wheelchair will also be available.

Creating a Healthy Oxford Community
ShareFest 2019

ShareFest is a service and environmental nonprofit corporation dedicated to the collection and redistribution of items donated by Miami University students and the Oxford community at the end of the academic year. Collected items benefit residents in need and social service agencies throughout the region. In 2018, residents of 300 houses/apartments and 43 residence halls donated 97 tons of clothing, food, housewares, furniture, appliances, and much more

Teacher Recognition / 2019 Jamieson Award
This Sunday, May 19, we will recognize and thank our Sunday School teachers who provide foundational support through the gift of teaching our children, as well as present the 2019 Jamieson Award to two deserving High School Seniors. Austin Lake and Rori Lykins will each receive this award. We hope you will be present to congratulate these two special youth.

Also on May 19, we will celebrate our high school and university graduates and wish them well. It is bittersweet to say goodbye, yet we are so thankful for each of them.
Sunday School News
Sunday, May 19 is the last day of our regular Sunday school classes.

Next Sunday, May 26, Carol Klumb will be hosting "Crafts with Carol" during the Sunday school hour.

Our summer Sunday school program begins June 9.
You're Invited....C.C.N.S. Graduation
On Monday, May 20, at 6:00 p.m., 12 young graduates of the C.C.N.S. Monday-Wednesday-Friday Class of 2019 will be celebrated!

Everyone is invited to join our graduating class in the Memorial Church Sanctuary.

The Tuesday Afternoon Circle will meet on May 21 at 1:30 p.m. in The Knolls Country Kitchen.

Visitors and guests are always welcome.

Youth Lock In
In celebration for the end of the school year, we’ll be having a Youth Lock-in on Friday, May 24th.

We’ll meet at the Memorial Church Building at 9:00 p.m. and pick up will be at the Seminary Church Building on Saturday, May 25th at 8:00 a.m. Come join us for lots of fun!
Seminary Church Worship
We will gather in the Seminary Church for worship next Sunday, May 26 . In preparation for worship at that time, we encourage you to read the Scripture passage and reflect on what God’s word might be to you through the following questions:

When have you felt God calling you through prayer, other people, music, dreams or a sudden insight?
F or further reflection:
  • Did this call require you to cross over to a new frontier?
  • How have challenges and struggles shaped your calling?
  • How has your calling changed over the seasons of your life?
Community Table
Every fifth Wednesday, Oxford Presbyterian Church hosts the weekly Community Table . Our next opportunity to respond to food insecurity in the Oxford community will be on Wednesday, May 29th at 5:30 p.m. in the Seminary Church at 104 E. Church St. (white church on the corner of Church and Poplar)

We need:
Dinner Salad (Ham, Tuna fish, pasta, you name it)
Bread and Dessert

We need volunteers:
Setup at 4:30 p.m. / Serve 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Clean up from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Oxford Presbyterian Women's Retreat
Ladies, "Let’s Unplug and Retreat"  to a peaceful farm at 6381 Todd Rd. (Cloudland Retreat Center), June 1, 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Take this time to listen to God speaking to you through the Word, Nature, and Art.

Reservations are due May 26. Retreat cost is $15.00. Breakfast and lunch provided.

Historic Hopewell Church - Worship Service
Mark your calendar

Sunday, June 2nd worship service will be held at Historic Hopewell Church at 9:30 a.m.

NO 10:00 a.m. service or Sunday School will be held at OPC.
Vacation Bible School
Mark your calendars for "God is Love" VBS, June 21-23!

 This year the ecumenical VBS will be held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. For more information on how to register to participate or volunteer, please see the flyer posted on the glass door outside the Molyneaux Lounge. Registration forms are available in the Molyneaux.
