October Stewardship Focus – Membership, Evangelism, Fellowship
Ministry and mission at Oxford Presbyterian Church takes on so many forms as we answer Christ's call in our community, nation and world.
Fellowship is our Call!!

It seems that food begets fellowship and there is no lack of either at Oxford Presbyterian Church! What wonderful opportunities to get to know each other as we share a cookie or a meal together. The Membership, Evangelism and Fellowship Committee is called to create and support a variety of gatherings for our congregation and friends. Our fellowship time after church is coordinated by MEF and provided by various groups and committees of the congregation. The recent Welcome Back Picnic was initiated several years ago by MEF and has become a joyous tradition to welcome back everyone and thank the Lord for rest and joy of the summer, to kick off a new school year, and continue opportunities for members and friends of OPC to Seek, Serve, and Share! Our Methodist neighbors joined us for an Ice Cream Social this summer after our joint service. Time to Dine groups over the years have encouraged small groups to gather for food, fun and fellowship, and develop new friendships. With each opportunity for fellowship, we invite the Lord to join us…“Listen! I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to you and eat with you and you with me.” Revelation 3:20 All are welcome!!!

"Nurturing the Journey Inward"
If you are seeking a resource to create more time for the Lord in your life, pick up a new copy of October-December devotional “These Days” as you enter the sanctuary. These daily devotionals are great tools to create a gracious space of abundant life apart as engage the two great commandments of loving God and loving our neighbor.
My Gifts Matter!...for Worship
Our worship experience comes in many forms and from many places. Worshiping our God is fundamental to our role as Christians. Most of everything we do is a statement of our worship but here we respond to our formal practice of worship which is supported by approximately 35% of the budget. We are fortunate to have leaders who inform, inspire, instruct and encourage as we learn from the Word of God. That Word might come from a well-prepared sermon or from the beauty of our ministry of music. It might also come from individual testimonials or from personal reflection. It is the spiritual food that sustains and directs us. Your gifts have secured outstanding and committed ministers, an exceptional choir which is enhanced by the talents of student interns, a beautiful and sacred worship space and a congregation filled with the spirit as they carry God’s message into their daily lives.
