Ministry News and Upcoming Events

Together we can …

As the puzzle creations take shape in the Molyneaux and the Sunday School rooms each week, we see how everyone of us is a “piece of the puzzle” in God’s plan!

In worship, every week we also share stories of how we are working together with Christ to make an impact. If you missed the Moment for Stewardship Mike Rudolph offered on Sunday, no worries. Take a moment and hear what Mike had to share as "Together We Can!"

Please prayerfully consider your financial commitment to the work of OPC in our community and the world. Reflect on the growth of each of the puzzles as the sign of God’s ever-expanding message of faith, hope and love to the world. Your gifts MATTER!

Heritage Sunday

“God of the ages whose almighty hand

Leads forth in beauty all the starry band

Of shining worlds in splendor through the skies,

Our grateful songs before Thy throne arise.”

This Sunday, October 25, we will observe Reformation / Heritage Sunday. During this service, we will celebrate the foundations of our faith as well as taking the opportunity to recognize those who have been members of our congregation for 50 or more years.

Joining us for this celebration will be Robert Reid on bagpipes and his daughter Cami presenting several highland dances.

Please join us at 10:00 a.m. for this inspirational and meaningful worship service.

Fellowship Host for November

Hosting fellowship after church provides a valuable service to the congregation and is a great way to meet friends, old and new. Plus, it’s not a lot of work - you just need to pour drinks and greet people. Snacks are appreciated but not required. We have an immediate need for a host on Sunday November 8. Click the button on the right to sign-up or contact the church office for assistance.

Special Congregational Meeting

A special congregational meeting will be held immediately following our worship service on Sunday, November 8, for the purpose of electing the next class of elders, deacons and trustees.

Kids Coalition Against Hunger

Thanks to everyone for attending our annual food packing event, organized by the Kids Coalition Against Hunger! We had a wonderful day and packed a little over 15,000 meals. Those meals will be distributed locally, nationally and internationally to feed those suffering from hunger. OPC truly lives Christ's call to help feed our neighbors. Thank you again, and we'll see you next year!

Your Stewardship Matters

When I stand before God at the end of my life,

I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left,

and could say, ‘I used everything you gave me.’

Living into Hope

The gospel gives us a reason to hope

because it tells us that God has not abandoned the world,

but is actively bringing justice and peace through Jesus.
