Workplace and Product Safety Committee: workers' compensation call January 3
ABI's legislative priorities for 2017 include growing Iowa's skilled workforce and sustaining a competitive business climate. As part of these priorities, ABI is spearheading employer efforts on legislation with improvements to Iowa's Workers' Compensation laws. State energy plan unveiled
Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds on Wednesday announced details of the new Iowa Energy Plan, which is meant to serve as a foundation for maximizing Iowa's economic potential in terms of energy development and sustainability. STEM partners in Iowa add $360K to mix   (Business Record)
Business and industry partners of the Iowa Governor's STEM Advisory Council have contributed $360,000 in the past six months to support education in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.  The contributors included Alliant Energy, the city of Des Moines, DuPont Pioneer, Google, ITC Holdings Corp., Kemin Industries, MidAmerican Energy Co., Principal Financial, Rockwell Collins, Verizon and the University of Iowa Community Credit Union.
