Colene Walters was born in Detroit Michigan. The youngest out of 6 kids. She has been performing since the age of 17 touring throughout the Northern states as well as Canada. In 1990 she moved to Nashville and became a demo singer for several publishing companies and caught the ear of Porter Wagoner with one of her demos. She performed all of the duets that Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton did in their career and became one of the only vocalists to sing solo on the grand ole opry in which she had a standing ovation with a Johnny Russell song (ain't you even gonna cry).
Colene also became a member of the Johnny Russell band performing at the Grand Ole Opry and touring the country.
is also a Patsy Cline impersonator and a studio harmonica player and back up singer.
