CGTC to Unveil Naming of Dr. Sonny Perdue Administration Building October 8th

Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) will host a ceremony Thursday, October 8, at 2 p.m. to honor Houston County native Sonny Perdue with the naming of its administration building on the Warner Robins Campus. The building’s new name will honor Dr. George Ervin “Sonny” Perdue, III for his distinguished record of public service and steadfast support of higher education in Georgia. 

In April, the College’s local board of directors approved a recommendation to the State Board of the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) to name its administration building on the Warner Robins campus as the “Dr. Sonny Perdue Administration Building.” The TCSG State Board approved the proposal in May.  Read more

Perry Council Member Amy Fouse Appointed to Statewide Children and Youth Advisory Council


Perry Council Member Amy Fouse has been appointed to the Georgia Municipal Association’s (GMA) Children and Youth Advisory Council for the 2026–2027 year.

 

The council recommends programs and other initiatives to address the needs of children and youth in Georgia’s cities. It also connects city officials with agencies and organizations that support young people. Members share ideas about programs that have made a positive difference and may recommend policies to address issues affecting children and youth. Read more
