Shaping Norms for Racial and Economic Equity in Business

Lend Your Voice to Help Shape the Standards for Equity in Business

There’s a bold new effort aimed at guiding the private sector into deep partnership to achieve racial and economic equity in the US.

The Corporate Racial Equity Alliance, co-founded by PolicyLink, FSG, and JUST Capital, is dedicated to deepening and accelerating the private sector’s role in advancing equity as a critical component of building a just, equitable, and healthy society for all.

Core to the CRE Alliance’s work is a multi-year effort to develop corporate performance standards on racial and economic equity, with broad stakeholder engagement central to their process.

The CRE Alliance is inviting the public to join them in shaping new norms for equity in business during their public comment period through June 3, 2022.

So far, they have heard from people across communities, experiences, and interests about how businesses can most effectively champion racial and economic equity.

Now, there’s just two weeks left to lend your voice to this effort. Here's how you can participate:

To recognize participants’ valuable time and expertise, the CRE Alliance is offering compensation to young people, people of color, individuals living on a low income, and others based in the US (details here).

By lending your voice, you will be helping businesses better understand their impact on the world around them and influencing corporate priorities toward equity.

Collectively, we have the power to achieve racial and economic equity in our lifetime.

Art to create equity
Diego Rivera's Detroit Industry shows the toil of the common man working in a factory at the time. Diego Rivera was an outspoken advocate for the rights of the worker and his art nearly always reflected that passion. It asks the question of us, what is the industry: cars or man?
