New IWMF Survey: Your Input is Needed!
The IWMF continually strives to best meet the needs of all people affected by WM. As such, the organization is undertaking a strategic planning process that starts with you, our constituents. Please fill out this survey regarding the IWMF’s education, information, and support programs; it will only take about 15 - 20 minutes. Your input is invaluable in helping us deliver impactful programs and services.

Feedback from this survey will serve as the cornerstone upon which we build our three-year strategic plan (FY 2023-2025), including determining organizational priorities, and the allocation of human and financial resources. Please take this opportunity to help shape future IWMF programming.

We thank you for your partnership.

Three Easy Ways YOU Can Make a Difference Now

Alix Redmonde, IWMF Director of Development & Communications with IWMF community member, Chris Edgerton
Our amazing community members (That’s you!) always ask how to get involved and give back to IWMF. Well, here are some easy ways to be a part of our efforts.

Facebook Fundraiser

Host a Facebook (FB) birthday fundraiser for IWMF on your FB page… You can honor someone you love, or even celebrate your anniversary or the birth of a baby!

It’s easy, and if you need help ask a friend, family member or reach out to IWMF’s Donna Cutillo at [email protected].

Once you set up your FB page share it on IWMF’s Facebook Page. we are there to support YOU.

August is “Make a Will Month”

It’s not something we like to talk about, but putting our wishes in place is important. IWMF makes it easy to include us in your precious gift giving by partnering up with FREEWILL. That’s right! It’s FREE and it’s super easy and quick. 15-minutes or less. Just click this link!

When you make a provision of a future gift to the IWMF, you are honorably recognized by the Ben Rude Heritage Society.

Participate, Sponsor or create YOUR own event

Join the Walk for Waldenstrom’s here by clicking on the link to register. Raise awareness & funds by asking friends, family and supports to join you. Support one of our members like amazing athlete, Chris Edgerton, whose cycling challenge and support of IWMF are chronicled here.

Create your own IWMF fundraiser! A virtual art challenge, a dog walking event. Be creative… Do you knit or crochet? Create a competition and ask friends to donate to the event.

Cardio Flow for WM
Cardio Flow - 45 minutes of Mindful Movement
Physical activity is the number one intervention for cancer-related fatigue. This medium-paced class will feature cardio, strength, and balance training to safely get the heart rate up for those managing WM. Come as you are and have a little fun while you’re at it!

  • Get your flow on with simple repetitive movements that strengthen the core and legs, work the upper body, and pump the lymph fluid for immune system support.
  • We will be both seated and standing for the class, using the chair for balance as needed. Take “breath breaks” throughout as needed and stick around for our optional community chat afterwards.
  • Please have a chair, yoga mat if possible, and a Thera-band for resistance exercises. Wear comfortable clothes and supportive shoes if needed. Talk with your doctor about any exercise restrictions you might have at this time.
  • If you can’t make the live class, a recording will be provided afterwards.

Ann MacMullan, E-RYT 500, is the WM Community Yoga Instructor. She enjoys uplifting the WM community through breath-connected movement, mindfulness, and by creating a supportive group environment on Zoom. Her father was diagnosed with WM in 2019.

- The Walk for Waldenstrom's -
Join us for the Walk for Waldenstrom’s 2022, Sunday, September 18th at 10:00am (ET).

This is YOUR opportunity to raise awareness and support for the International Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia Foundation (IWMF).

What is the Walk for Waldenstrom’s?
Walk for Waldenstrom’s is a 1-mile walk/run fundraising and awareness event for the IWMF and global WM community of care partners, friends, and family.

There’s no registration fee or charge!

Join the Walk for Waldenstrom’s from anywhere in the world.
We make it easy… Walk in a park, on the beach, in your neighborhood (bring the dog), from the comfort of your own home, or walk on the treadmill.

Don’t want to walk? No problem!
Pick any activity you enjoy… Pickleball, bridge, even reading a book.
You will be further participating by asking your friends and family to join in the Walk for Waldenstrom’s.

Because WM is a rare and little-known disease, please spread the word by sharing YOUR story, explaining what WM is and, by asking everyone you know to support IWMF.

To get started, create your very own fundraising page, and reach out to your friends and family for support.
Don’t know how to create your page… We can help!
Just email Donna Cutillo at [email protected], she will walk you through it.

Funds raised from the Walk for Waldenstrom’s will make a very real difference to the WM community around the globe – these funds support vital WM research, the creation of IWMF publications and literature, and allow IWMF to continue offering free resources, education, and materials to everyone living with WM.
