U.S. Community Members:
August is National Make-A-Will Month

Sometimes we need a little incentive to put things into place that we should all have, but don’t necessarily like to talk about.

This event campaign ending in August protects what is most important. The IWMF makes it easy for you and your loved ones to start your plans by using this FREE online tool.

Make-A-Will Month is a call to action to make your mark—for yourself, your loved ones, and patients diagnosed with Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia (WM).

Here’s all that your mark can include:

More security as you look to the future
Agency over the critical choices you make in life
Readiness to support your loved ones and pets, no matter what
Kindness for the causes that you value

Your mark will build a legacy that supports and educates everyone affected by WM through a gift in your will that costs nothing today.
Thank you for including the IWMF when creating your plans. We can’t do what we do without people like YOU.

 Sincerely,

The IWMF team

Recording Available! Sound Meditation for WM
From Michelle Postek, IWMF Manager of Information & Support

Thank you to the nearly THIRTY WM community members who joined us for our first Sound Meditation for WM session with Ann MacMullan. It was a moving experience, and we received a lot of great feedback. Stay tuned for more of these offerings in the future!

Curious to check it out? Listen to the recording HERE.
Cardio Flow for WM
TODAY at 2:00PM U.S. EDT
Cardio Flow - 45 minutes of Mindful Movement
Physical activity is the number one intervention for cancer-related fatigue. This medium-paced class will feature cardio, strength, and balance training to safely get the heart rate up for those managing WM. Come as you are and have a little fun while you’re at it!

  • Get your flow on with simple repetitive movements that strengthen the core and legs, work the upper body, and pump the lymph fluid for immune system support.
  • We will be both seated and standing for the class, using the chair for balance as needed. Take “breath breaks” throughout as needed and stick around for our optional community chat afterwards.
  • Please have a chair and yoga mat if possible. Wear comfortable clothes and supportive shoes if needed. Talk with your doctor about any exercise restrictions you might have at this time.
  • If you can’t make the live class, a recording will be provided afterwards.

Ann MacMullan, E-RYT 500, is the WM Community Yoga Instructor. She enjoys uplifting the WM community through breath-connected movement, mindfulness, and by creating a supportive group environment on Zoom. Her father was diagnosed with WM in 2019.
