Just a brief traffic alert for today, and then our regular Advisory will return on Thursday. Utility work along Braddock Road will require the closure of the right turn lane on westbound Braddock at the Roanoke River Road entrance to the George Mason University campus. A small section of Roanoke River Road will also be closed. Traffic on Braddock Road may still turn right onto Roanoke River Road, but expect delays due to the lane closure.
Drivers approaching campus from points east should enter campus at the Nottoway River Road entrance from Braddock Road. Those approaching campus from areas west are advised to use Campus Drive.
Work is expected to continue through the end of the month, so expect heavy traffic on and around campus on Thursday, Dec. 16, when Winter Graduation ceremonies will occur.
