It was a pleasure seeing so many of you at our Braddock District Open House last week and hearing your thoughts on a variety of issues affecting our community. A number of folks raised concerns regarding public transportation and today I'm writing to let you know about opportunities to provide your input regarding bus service in the Braddock District.

See below for information on tonight's community meeting to discuss proposed service enhancements for the Fairfax Connector bus system and WMATA's upcoming Northern Virginia budget public hearing, which is an opportunity to weigh in on the proposed elimination of the 29W and 3A bus lines. Please consider joining fellow bus riders and community members as they provide input during the community meeting. If you're unable to attend in person, use the resources below to find alternative ways to submit your comments.

WMATA Notice of Public Hearing

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is considering its 2021 Budget which proposes changes to Metro fares and services. Many Braddock constituents have reached out to me about the proposed elimination of the 29W and 3A bus lines. Metro needs to hear from riders if we want to keep those bus lines active.

You can submit your comments using  this form  which allows you to type a message or upload a file. The comment period will be open until March 2nd, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.

Additionally, WMATA will be holding three public hearings in Virginia, Washington DC, and Maryland where you can speak to Metro staff about their proposals. I will be attending the Virginia hearing. Here are the details:
