A special congratulations to Sophia Ganson, who was honored as a senior cheerleader and crowned the 2020 Homecoming Queen!

"This is always a special night for our kids, especially our seniors," said Athletic Director Bob Yttredahl. "This year, I am extremely grateful we were able to recognize our seniors and honor our traditions."

The three senior cheerleaders are Maya Ariss, Sophia Ganson, and Georgina Stephens. The six senior football players include Ryan Henry, Nathan Lewis, Matthew McCall, William Leake, Tristan Leach, and Keegan Clendenin. Congratulations to all on a special evening.

Mark your calendars for
December 14!

Attention Lower School Families!

It's the time of year for traditions! During this time between Thanksgiving and the Winter Holiday, we would normally be sending out invitations to our Winter Program, a Lower School celebration in song and art. The traditional crowning moment of the Winter Program is our annual Parade of Gifts, in which the Lower Schoolers carry a procession of donated gifts down the aisle of the auditorium to be stacked on the stage before the final song. The gifts are donated to area shelters and organizations who distribute them children in need in the Dallas area.

We may not be able to have our Winter Program this year, but the Parade of Gifts lives on! Our community partners are reporting more requests for aid than ever during this tough year for families everywhere, and Lakehill is proud to continue to help meet this need. Please read the request for gifts below carefully. We encourage every Lower School family to donate a gift. Additional gifts in honor of a younger or older sibling who wants to participate will gladly be accepted as well.

  • Involve your child in the gift-selection process to encourage empathy and the spirit of giving.
  • Donated gifts can be for boys or girls of any age, new and unopened.
  • We encourage you to select educationally appropriate toys, books, and games, and to avoid gifts that are violent in nature or that require batteries.
  • This year, we are requesting unwrapped gifts to better meet our community partners' needs. No gift paper or labels necessary.
  • Children can bring their gifts to their classroom any day on or before Monday, December 14. The earlier, the better!
  • At-home families can drop off donations in the collection box just inside the vestibule of the main entrance.
  • Gifts will be displayed on Tuesday, December 15th, before being taken to our community partners.

Thank you for your generosity during this season of giving.
