The Sweet Sound of Harmony
Sarah Ganson
Keegan Clendenin
Asher Chamoy
Sophia Ganson
Four Lakehill singers participated in and recorded auditions for the Texas Private School Music Educators Association (TPSMEA) All-State Choir. They are Sarah Ganson, Sophia Ganson, Keegan Clendenin, and Asher Chamoy. Over 800 students from more than 90 of the top private schools throughout the state of Texas entered the competition by submitting a recording.

Being selected for the TPSMEA All-State Choir is the highest honor a Texas private school vocal music student can receive. There are two rounds of judging, first of which is the All-Region choir.

Sarah, Sophia, Asher, and Keegan were selected to the All-Region Choir. Sophia, Asher, and Keegan advanced to the state judging. From there, Asher and Keegan were selected to the All-State Choir.

There will be no All-State Choir in 2021 due to COVID-19, but the local region is moving forward with plans to host a Region 1 Choir in which all four Lakehill students will participate.

Tune in to the homecoming football game to view the crowning.

The highlight of this week is the Homecoming game when the Warriors take on Denton Calvary at the Roger L. Perry Campus on Friday, November 13 at 7:00 pm. Admission is restricted for all events.

Art to Remember
Lakehill is participating in a creative fundraiser with Art to Remember that allows you to purchase keepsake products customized with your child’s art.

There are over 50 products and many are less than $15. These make great gifts and a percentage of every purchase goes right back to our school.

Click on the link below and enter your child's name, see their artwork. Then, have fun shopping!

Remote Learners: You will be able to upload any of the artwork your child has done to participate!

Anyone can upload artwork from this year or previous years if you want to create your own keepsakes from other artwork than what I have selected.

Art work will be shipped directly to your home. I will return original artwork in January.

Volleyball Celebrates Senior Night

Last Tuesday, the volleyball team celebrated Seniors Maddison Cerda, Kathryn Mahan and Jourdyn Owens with a straight set victory over Irving the Highlands. On Thursday, they traveled to Denton to take on Denton Calvary in the bi-district round of the state playoffs. After dropping the first set, the Warriors bounced back and won the next three sets giving the volleyball program their 9th bi-district championship in the past 10 years.

With a bye in the Area Round, the team will be playing in the Regional Finals this Saturday against Midland Classical Academy. Game location and time are still to be determined at this time. Live streaming will be available.

Go Warriors!
