Lakehill Welcomes
Jerry Sanchez and Tania Huitron
Jerry Sanchez
Deputy Director of Security

Jerry Sanchez joins the Lakehill staff this year as Deputy Director of Security. After attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a Political Science major, Sanchez began a career in public service. He served as a member of the Dallas Police Department for 32 years, working as an officer and part time instructor. He is now entering his rookie year in education.

“I am truly proud and honored to be part of the Lakehill family,” says Sanchez. He wants Lakehill families to know he takes pride in protecting the campus, students, and faculty and will do so in a professional manner.

Sanchez, originally from Crystal City, Texas, noted that he visits Disney World frequently. “I try to visit as often as I can, after all, it is the happiest place on earth!”

Help us welcome Mr. Jerry Sanchez to Lakehill.
Tania Huitron
Spanish Teacher

Tania Huitron joins the Lakehill staff this year as the Lower and Middle School Spanish teacher. Ms. Huitron attended the Universidad Internacional in Cuernavaca, Mexico, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language prior to beginning her career in education. A travel enthusiast, Ms. Huitron most recently guided high school students to study abroad during the summer in Guanajuato and Mérida, Mexico. She taught Spanish and coordinated the academic curriculum tying it with cultural activities so that the students could live fully immersed in the Mexican culture.
“My first day at Lakehill, I noticed the willingness of others to make me feel welcome and supported,” says Ms. Huitron. She is very excited to help students grow their proficiency in Spanish and share her passion for different cultures. She looks forward to the day she can see the big smiles around campus!
Ms. Huitron and her husband live in the Dallas area and enjoy hiking, biking, and exploring the city. We are very excited to welcome her to the Lakehill community!
Smile Big!
