Happy Friday to you! We hope you had a great break with family and friends! After our week break, we have officially started Term Two and hit the ground running. We have some fun events planned between now and Winter Break. It was a full house for gingerbread night and we hope the students that attended had a great time!
This week our PE unit took us to the Paddle Palace for Ping Pong, or Table Tennis! The students had a blast and the staff said it was so fun watching all of our kids play and move. The employees at the Paddle Palace had nothing but great things to say about our students and were very impressed with how much they improved over the course of two days. This is what makes TRCS so special. When we are out in the community we get so many people that are impressed. Keep it up TRCS!
We will be sending out Term One report cards to every family next Friday via email. We are doing the final proofreading, as well as getting everything attached and ready to send. All report cards will be sent electronically, including a review of the first term curriculum in the TRCS Times!
Compassion thought of the week: “I believe that compassion is selflessly putting others before yourself, especially if they are struggling, without wanting or requesting anything back.” - TRCS 6th grade student. It is great to hear our students give their thoughtful ideas about compassion. I hope we can continue to show compassion on a daily basis.
Have a fun weekend and we will see you on Monday.

The spring auction is our biggest fundraiser and community event of the year. We are thrilled to announce that we are ‘open for business’ and to invite you to “Escape to Paradise” with us!

Event Tickets:
Ticket sales are open – and this year we are offering Early Bird Ticket Pricing !

Item Donations:
Item Donations are being accepted, we are looking to provide our guests with an array of silent and live auction items and experiences. This is a great time of year to ask for donations from businesses, family, and friends while you are out and about.

With many social gatherings over the next few weeks, think of who you know who might be able to offer a unique experience – think locally and outside of Oregon (and the US); timeshares or rental homes, sporting event tickets, shadow a professional in an exciting career, host a private dinner party with a meal prepared by a chef, join a member at a private golf club for a round of golf, visit backstage at a theater performance or concert, etc.

Sponsorship Opportunities:
Sponsorships are a win-win and at start at $250! When a business partners with TRCS, they will enjoy immediate recognition on our event website and newsletters, and sponsors at the $500 level and above will receive complimentary event tickets. Check out our sponsorship opportunities for all benefits and recognition.

Think about the vendors and service professionals you do business with (dentist, orthodontist, landscaper, attorney, financial advisor, realtor, caterer, plumber, electrician, chiropractor, car dealers, etc). Or, do you have a business and would like to show your support of TRCS? Let us know!

All procurement materials (Item Donation Forms, Donation and Sponsorship Request Letters) can be found here .

We need your help to make this a success. Contact Stephanie Knapick ( or 413.896.5512) with questions, thoughts, ideas, comments etc. or if you would like to be more involved on our auction team.
