Happy Friday! It has been another great week at TRCS! The spelling bee competition took place on Wednesday and it was so much fun! We enjoyed watching all of the students encourage and challenge each other. Our students in the audience did a great job cheering on the contestants! Congratulations to winner Suhaani Garg and runner-up Annamika Konkola. Suhaani will go on to represent TRCS at the regional Spelling Bee next month.

Just a reminder, we are three weeks away from the end of the term. It is a great time for students to check grades and plan accordingly for the end of term two!

We are in the height of the flu/cold season. We are doing everything we can here to keep the building and surfaces as clean as possible. If your child is staying home please contact the office as soon as possible. Here are the guidelines TRCS follows as recommended by Clackamas County Health Authority.

Cold and Flu policy:
  • Your child needs to stay at home until the fever is below 100.5 for 24 hours without fever-reducing medicine.
  • If your child is sent home due to a fever, they must stay home and be fever free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medicine.
Vomiting or Diarrhea:
  • Your child needs to stay home until symptoms are gone for 24 hours.

Compassion thought of the week: This quote comes from one of our sixth-grade boys and he says, “compassion means doing a selfless action for another person. This can be something small or something gigantic. Either way, it will make somebody feel better.” What a great thought. I hope our students have the opportunity to practice compassion this week. Have a great weekend and we will see everybody on Monday!
