As BCM Georgia celebrates our 35th year of loving our neighbors, I want to personally thank you for your help.

Your generous support has allowed our team to:

• keep more of our neighbors housed, and
• teach responsible long-term money management.

BCM's increasing number of clients are constantly challenged to find affordable decent housing and therefore BCM has:

• doubled our allowances for rent, mortgage, and utility assistance, and
• expanded our main geographic coverage from 15 to 130 zip codes.

Thank you for 35 years of helping make positive differences in the lives of our neighbors in need. We are excited about what is ahead as our next chapter unfolds.

BCM Georgia Welcomes Three

New Board Members

Roy Jenkins is VP Finance – Procure-to-Pay at Synchrony Financial and oversees the global Procure-to-Pay team. He is responsible for $2.2B in indirect spend across India, Philippines, Canada, and the United States. 

Craig Mullins is an Emory Candler School of Theology Board Member and Chair Emeritus of Emory University’s Aquinas Center. He is President of Mullins Associates and serves as a consultant to hospital and physician groups related to their governance structure, operating systems, and income distribution planning.

Donna Trainor is a Senior Associate with Homrich Berg, a national independent wealth management firm in Atlanta, Georgia. Donna is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ specializing in taxation, financial management, and annual and long-range planning.

BCM Georgia In Action

Tina and her son had been living out of hotels and her vehicle since being evicted because her work hours had been cut, and she fell behind on rent. After approving Tina for our Foundation 3™ supportive housing program BCM Georgia’s Director of Housing helped secure a home for Tina and her son despite her rental history. Foundation 3™ provides up to 18 months of professionally case managed housing, education, and employment services.

Tina’s crisis level heightened when she totaled her vehicle in an accident and ran out of money to pay for a hotel room. She had no choice but to check out of the hotel with nowhere to go for shelter that night with her son.

BCM alerted the property manager of Tina’s situation, and based on our reputation, they allowed Tina to move in the same day despite the pending background check and credit screening and without the security deposit and pro-rated rent. They trusted BCM Georgia after speaking with our Director of Housing about Foundation 3™ and made their decision based on this.

This story is a testament to BCM Georgia’s reputation, as this property manager made their decision based on the trust of our agency.
