The Ways We Belong to Each Other
"Serving as Christ's hands at Chester Eastside's Open Table last Thursday....
Walking with Christ's feet with our Holy Hikers...
Loving with Christ's heart as we give of ourselves to the Red Cross....
This is what it means to be rooted in God at Saint John's." (recent Facebook post)
That is a fairly full week at Saint John's and it only contains the tip of the iceberg for how we care for each other and those around us. I could have added a dozen conversations planning for the upcoming 'program year' - or the dozen folks who stepped up to help out at one of the funerals we've had. Whether it's covering the front office when our admin Jen is away, or bringing food donations to Chester, or watering and weeding our beautiful flower beds, or making a phone call to check in on a fellow parishioner to see how they're doing, there are so many ways we lift each other up, that we belong to each other.
Take a few minutes to fill out a survey to see how you can help out as Christ's hands, heart, and feet at Saint John's. There are so many ways that proclaim we belong to each other, and I invite you to consider how you can serve God at Saint John's.
Blessings,
Rev Jill
