You can pick up a guide to our 40 day Prayer Challenge and bookmarks on Sunday mornings to help you along your prayer journey. Each week focuses on a particular purpose for your prayer. The bookmark for March 26 includes the following scripture from James 2:15-16:
If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food and you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?
Prayer focus for the week of March 26: We pray for the places in our neighborhood that need transformation and commit to helping.

Easter Lilies for our Sanctuary
Help us fill our chancel with Easter lilies and purchase a plant to honor a family member or friend. Use the sign-up sheets in the Sunday bulletin or print the sign up sheet, fill it out, and mail it to the church. If you write a check, please note "Easter Lilies" on the memo line. The plants are $10 each and you are welcome to take your plant home after Easter Sunday service.

How You Helped CCSC in 2016
The first issue of CCSC's quarterly newsletter,
Connections, arrived last week. Included in the issue is
CCSC's 2016 Year In Review which measures program results like how many people received food packages, the pounds of fresh produce harvested from the garden and other important numbers. CCSC Executive Director, Michelle Shonbeck, also shared another important statistic: "The percentage of your dollar that goes directly to our services is usually around 90%. For every $1 you donate, about 90 cents goes to the programs and if you're familiar with the philanthropic world, you know that's a superb value."

A Closing Prayer
God of the ages, you call the church to keep watch in the world and to discern the signs of the times. Grant us the wisdom which your Spirit bestows, that with courage we may proclaim your prophetic word, and complete the work that you have set before us; through your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.. from The Book of Common Worship
