WaveAerospace CEO Talks About Electricity Challenges

Mark Strauss, CEO of WaveAerospace

WaveAerospace CEO Mark Strauss shared his insights into the challenges of moving electricity in a very informative presentation to the Y’s Men last Thursday.

He covered the challenges and how they relate to his firm’s innovative drone technology, saying electricity generated in the U.S. is lost, not because the electricity grid is broken but “just by the nature of moving electricity, it goes off as heat and other losses.”

Strauss emphasized WaveAerospace's unique approach to aircraft design, focusing on drones capable of operating in extreme weather conditions for critical missions such as rescue operations.

He revealed the company's key insight: "The trick to flying in bad weather is not how much energy you can carry, but how much you can save." This philosophy underscores his firm's commitment to energy efficiency in their drone technology.
