Don't Miss Tuesday Evening Picnics at Compo Beach
Enjoy a summertime treat at the Y's Men Tuesday evening picnics at Compo Beach.
Arranged by Y's Man Jon Fox, the gatherings take place on South Beach "642 feet to the right of the cannons." There is no need for a beach sticker. Simply tell them at the entrance that you are attending the Y's Men picnic. It begins about 4:30 to 5:00 pm. Bring your own chairs, finger food, and your choice of beverage perhaps to share (no glass containers are allowed).
If weather is bad (too hot, too cold, rainy), Jon says, "Stay home. Otherwise, just come and enjoy." If additional information is needed, contact Jon by clicking here.

Y's Men Annual Hot Dog Festival
Rescheduled to July 30
Sign up to tell us you're coming.
Even though you may have previously indicated that you would attend this event on July 23, please click here if you plan to attend on July 30.
The Y's Men Annual Hot Dog Festival, scheduled for this Tuesday, July 23, has been postponed to Tuesday, July 30 because of the likelihood of rain. Start time (5:00 pm) and location ("642 steps from the cannons") remain the same (see location map below).
Bring your beach chairs, drinks (no glass containers please at Compo), chips, appetizers, and food if you wish, but the hot dogs are free.
It's a fundraiser so bring cash or checks made out to the Hole in the Wall Gang. The Camp provides “a different kind of healing” to children with serious illnesses and to their families through year-round programs celebrating the fun, friendship and spirit of childhood.
This is a great Y’s Men tradition open to friends and family.
If you can’t make it and want to donate, please contact Jon Fox at 203-227-2679 or email: jonfox06880@gmail.com

Y's Men Hoot Owls A Hit in Darien
The Hoot Owls, the Y's Men singing group, performed at Atria Darien, an assisted living facility, last Thursday.
In a note to Hoot Owls Chair Bob Leng, Kiki Demetriades, Engage Life Director at Atria Darien, wrote in part: "Thank you, Hoot Owls, for the incredible singing performance you delivered at our community. The residents were absolutely thrilled and couldn't stop talking about how exceptional your talent is.
"Thank you for making our event unforgettable. The residents are still talking about the wonderful experience they had."
The Hoot Owls will perform again at Atria Darien in September, December, and March.
If you are interested in singing (reading music not necessary) and entertaining local seniors, please consider joining the Hoot Owls. Contact Hoot Owls Chair Bob Leng at 978-289-0940 or leng_7@msn.com. Bob comments, "Come join us. It's lots of fun."
