Tanglewood Music Festival Popular Artist Series performance with timeless poet and rhyme master Nas, who makes his Tanglewood debut alongside Emmy-winning conductor Troy Quinn (June 27, 7 p.m.), Returning after highly successful Tanglewood performances in 2021 and 2024, GRAMMY, Oscar, and Golden Globe-winning performer and composer Jon Batiste performs on June 28 (7 pm). John Mulaney, the celebrated comedian will make his Tanglewood debut on Sunday, June 29 at 6 pm, presenting this summer’s only solo comedy show. James Taylor and his All-Star Band perform with special guest Tiny Habits on July 3 and 4 (8 pm). The six-time GRAMMY-winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee is marking his 51st season at the festival.  |Stockbridge/Lenox


Berkshire Theatre Group at the Unicorn Theatre in Stockbridge, Out of Character Tony winner Ari'el Stachel's Out of Character returns for an intimate, humorous, and powerful journey of identity, mental health, and self acceptance (June 30 – July 26 |Stockbridge) Pink Floyd's The Wall A Theatrical Concert Experience featuring beyond The Wall with Mike Wartella (Jun 27- 28, 7pm) at the Colonial |Pittsfield.


Chesterwood Human/Nature Live Figure Drawing offered in partnership with Berkshire Art Center 4 Tuesdays, July 1st to 22nd from 9am-12pm. In this 4-week class, you will experience drawing in Daniel Chester French’s studio from a live model (on the 1st and 3rd class), drawing from nature on the grounds of Chesterwood (on the 2nd and 4th class), and explore an art history component into the life and art of Daniel Chester French's. Students will create a drawing or watercolor painting inspired by the studies and drawings within the Chesterwood environment, here human and nature come together. Modern Dance Series: 4-week series for ages 16-adult, With Bettina Montano, Wednesdays 6-7:30pm, July 2, July 16, July 23, August 6. Inspired by the spacious lawns and gracious landscape of Chesterwood, these classes engage breath, flow, rhythm and release as core principles for movement expression and motivation.

Norman Rockwell Museum Summer Saturdays for Family, a fun and interactive programming inspired by the art of Norman Rockwell and Walter Wick, creator of the I SPY books for children. (June 28, 11am-3pm), A peek at July 4th Celebrations: We Hold These Truths: July 4th at Norman Rockwell Museum, In collaboration with The Guthrie Center. Norman Rockwell Museum will celebrate American independence and democracy with a day of holiday programming. Listen to a public recitation of the Declaration of Independence read by Berkshire County community leaders and residents. Enjoy live music by folksinger Doug Mishkin and by performers Annie and Abe Guthrie. Experience Norman Rockwell’s iconic paintings exploring the themes of freedom and civil rights and reflect on what these ideals mean today. Make your own art to celebrate America’s birthday. Bring your picnic blanket and spend the afternoon enjoying the music and the beautiful Berkshire views.(July 4, 10am-4pm) New exhibition on view I SPY! Walter Wick's Hidden Wonders. Berkshire Botanical Garden Family Fridays, Grumbling Gryphons Traveling Children's Theatre performs Anansi the Trickster Spider: A West African Folktale (June 27, 11am-Noon), Evening Firefly Watch (June 27, 8-9:30pm), Forest Bathing with Zach Rissman Forest bathing, or Shinrin Yoku, is centered around opening oneself to the healing power of the natural world. Studies have shown that forest bathing helps lower stress and anxiety, strengthens immune function, improves cardiovascular and metabolic health, and boosts overall well-being. (June 28, 2-4pm), Music Mondays, The Rejuvenators with Wanda Houston (June 30, 5:30-7:30pm ), BBG Weekly Farmers Market (June 30, 3-6pm) Summer art exhibition, DayDream, will be on display in the Leonhardt Art Galleries through August 11 along with Sleepwalkers, new outdoor exhibit. |Stockbridge, MA


Naumkeag Backstairs Tour offers a look at the servants’ life at Naumkeag—and rarely seen areas of the house, including the 3rd floor (June 27, 29 & July 3 9:30-10:30am), Sunset Yoga, Join Yoga Lee for a creative, fun, flowy vinyasa yoga class while you soak in one of the best sunsets in the Berkshires! This class will be a dynamic, vinyasa-style flow suitable for all levels that is intelligently sequenced from start to finish. (July 3, 7-8:30pm) |Stockbridge, MA


The Mission House Mohicans Missionaries and Migrating Colonists: A Guided Tour (June 28, 11am or 1pm)


Stockbridge Library Museum & Archives Outdoor Bubble Painting (June 27, 2:30-3:30pm), Family Storytime (July 1, 10:30-11am), Slime Squad (July 1, 3-5pm), July Artist of the Month, Nicole Ogg, a painter and diorama artist who often plays with color to express a sense of abundance and chaos. Her work explores the seen and the importance of the unseen. Ogg draws inspiration from the natural world in order to understand the human experience; and she is interested in the concept that the terrain and landscapes are pictures of ourselves. (July 2, 11am - July 31 5pm). Read to Brody|Read to a Dog Program (July 2, 3:45-4:45pm) July Cookbook Club, Pass the Plate by Carolina Gelen, All home chefs and those who love cooking are welcome. Each participant prepares a recipe from this month's cookbook. Copies are available at the library to check out. You meet in person at the library to share and discuss the dishes. Jacob's Pillow Week 1 of the Festival continues with The Center Will Not Hold, June 25-June 29 in the Ted Shawn Theatre. Week 2 of the Festival (July 2-6) Jacob’s Pillow will welcome the LA-based contemporary dance company BODYTRAFFIC for their Ted Shawn Theatre debut, July 2-6. Renowned for their “invention, attitude, and urban edge” (The Boston Globe), BODYTRAFFIC will offer dynamic performances exploring the power of memory and the unexpected reminders all around us that provoke deep feelings of nostalgia. Week 2 of the Festival will also feature Almanac Dance Circus Theatre for a performance filled with acrobatics, dance and storytelling on the outdoor Henry J. Leir Stage on July 2 at 5:30pm. Also performing on the outdoor stage are New York Swings with Lindy Hop dancer Gaby Cook and her signature blend of swing dance and vernacular jazz on July 3 at 5:30pm, and KanKouran West African Dance Company, with their powerful rhythms and vibrant movement on July 4 and July 5 at 5:30pm. |Becket, MA


Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center Hear the Boston Early Music Festival for two performances of "Pimpinone" ( June 27, 8 pm and June 28, 3 pm) Telemann's slapstick drama with musical virtuosity will take the stage. Pure Prairie League (July 3, 8pm) Pure Prairie League continues to embellish the rich 50-plus year history of one of Country-Rock’s pioneering forces. |Great Barrington, MA


Shakespeare & Company The Victim by Lawrence Goodman featuring Annette Miller. Three women: A successful New York doctor whose racial diversity training has gone horribly wrong; a health aide grappling with racism during the COVID-19 pandemic, and a Holocaust survivor facing her own horror, and finding her way back to love and healing. Who gets to call herself a victim? Who is the perpetrator? “The Victim” is about identity, our blindness to others, and the human capacity for cruelty and compassion. A variety of vendors, music, food and outdoor activities. Bidwell House Museum A Mason's Tool Chest: 18th and 19th Century Stone Work. Learn about early American stonework with Dennis Picard. From foundations to fence posts; millstones to gravestones, the work of the Early American mason is still evident around us to this day. Come see examples of these works and learn about the tools and techniques that were used to create them. This lecture will be in-person at the Tyringham Union Church and also viewable via Zoom.
