The Week Ahead September 20 - 28
THIS WEEK'S HIGHLIGHTS

Afternoon Pick-Up
Afternoon pick-up of students not riding MPH or public school buses is a bit congested and potentially hazardous to children and adults crossing at the cross walks. Please help us maintain an orderly and safe environment for your children:
  • Pre-K students only are picked up at the CEL (first lane).
  • Lower School students (grade K-5) are picked up in front of the Phoenix. Use the third lane.
  • Middle and Upper School students should be picked up in the middle lane only.
  • Please observe the 5 mph campus speed limit.

Monday, September 30 - Rosh Hashanah
Classes are not in session. Most offices will be open.

Looking Ahead: Friday, October 4 - Harvest Festival & Homecoming
Students in Grades 1-12 will participate in the newly created Harvest Festival, which precedes this year's Homecoming soccer game vs. Mater Dei Academy. Students will gather by House (Panther, Trojan, Phoenix, and Knight) on the lower field at 3:30 p.m. for games and activities. The soccer game begins at 4:30 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to attend the soccer game to cheer on the Trojans.

Save the Date! Thursday, October 3 - Lower School Program Night
Pre-K through Grade 5 parents will have the opportunity to learn about their child's curriculum and meet Lower School Advisors as well as all of the Encore teachers. The program begins at 6:00 p.m.

A Message from the Librarian
The library is off to a busy start this year! By now your child should have brought home a book from the library. Please take note of when your child has library each week and help him/her keep track of, and return, their MPH library books. Need a book recommendation or have a book to recommend? Or have a few hours to volunteer this semester? Email Ms. Morrison or call extension 154.

DATE CHANGE - Ice Cream Social
The date has been changed to Thursday, September 26. (Original date was Friday, September 27.) Middle Schoolers will gather immediately after school in the Dining Hall. The social is from 3:15 – 4:15 p.m. Following the event, students should be picked up from the Phoenix or head straight to After-Hours.

A Message from the Librarian
Middle schoolers are visiting the library with their classes. We appreciate parent's help keeping track of MPH library materials brought home. Did you know the library is open after school? It is a great spot to finish homework. The library is seeking volunteers. If you have a few hours a week to spare this semester, please email Ms. Morrison or call extension 154.

A Message from the Librarian
Did you know the library loans laptops to students throughout the day for use in school? As books and other materials begin to circulate, we appreciate your help keeping track of MPH library materials brought home. Need a book recommendation? Curious about our school-wide NY Times digital subscriptions? Or do you have some time to volunteer in the library this semester? Please email Ms. Morrison or call extension 154.
