Welcome to the Week of January 31, 2021
Dear Families,
As we begin the Spring Semester, we are also doing some Spring Cleaning. With so much going on this past fall, much of our focus on campus was on upholding safety precautions. Now that these new measures are habits for our student body, we are broadening our focus to better uphold all school policies. In particular, this week we are focused on correcting uniform infractions.

We are asking your help in strengthening your students' uniform habits, especially before they leave the house. We have seen many students wearing tennis shoes, ankle socks, socks in a color other than black, navy, or white (for ladies only), non-uniform sweaters, skirts with hems more than two inches above the knee, and nail polish of bright colors. Faculty is asking students to correct uniform infractions on the spot when possible and are sending students to the front office for a uniform slip when the infractions cannot be corrected immediately. Students who are repeatedly corrected for uniform infractions may be issued a detention.

Please see pages 114-123 of our Family Handbook for the full uniform policy.
We also want to give some clarity on the use of Google Classroom for the second semester. Beginning next week, only students who are participating in Distance Learning will have access to Google Classrooms. If a student must quarantine they will be invited to Google Classrooms at that time. All students studying on campus will no longer have access to Google Classrooms and should be sure to write down their assignments at school and turn their assignments in directly to their teacher. If an on-campus student misses class for whatever reason, it is the student's responsibility to contact a homework buddy to complete the assignments they missed. Students with an excused absence get one additional day per day absent to complete the assignment.

Below are announcements and important upcoming dates. We look forward to a wonderful week, and, as always, please reach out to me with your questions.

Yours in Partnership,
Michael Cowan
