Dear Families,
We hope you and your scholars had a wonderful Fall Break! When we return on Monday we begin Quarter 2, and are excited to welcome more students onto campus. For those of you who are returning to campus for the first time this school year, please review the Return to Campus Reminders below.

Instructions on accessing your scholar's first quarter grades were sent out this past Wednesday. If you did not receive this email or have questions about accessing grades, please reach out to Mrs. Weatherton (tamara.weatherton@greatheartsirving.org). If your scholar received a C in one or more classes, we invite you to sign up for a parent-teacher conference. Please see below for more information.

Return to Campus Reminders

We are excited to welcome more students on campus second quarter! If your student(s) are returning to campus for the first time this academic year, please familiarize yourself with the campus updates we have made, including home screening, carline, mask policy, and more.
Upper School Conferences

If your student earned a C or lower in at least one class, you are invited to signup for a Parent-Teacher conference over Zoom in the afternoons of Friday 10/30 and Friday 11/6. To respect our teachers' time, we ask you do not request conferences concerning Quarter 1 grades outside of these times. Conference signups will go live on Monday, October 26.
Painting Senior Parking Spaces

Seniors who turned in their designs before Fall Break will be painting their parking spaces Friday 10/30 and Friday 11/6 after school. Bring a change of clothes, some snacks, and, most importantly, your paint! Please refer to the guidelines below for what kind of paint to buy. Homecoming Week!

Great Hearts Irving Homecoming Week will run from November 16-20! Here are some highlights to look forward to!

  • Students vs. Faculty Volleyball Game
  • Outdoor Festivities Friday Evening

Picture Day

Upper School Picture Day is just around the corner on Thursday, November 5!
On-Campus students will have their pictures taken in the morning, and Online students are invited to campus from 1-2:30 pm to get their pictures taken.

Lunch with the Counselor

On Monday, October 26th, parents are invited to join our College Counselor, Ms. Priscilla O'Neill, for her monthly meeting about all things college. The topic for October is Financial Aid. After a short presentation, Ms. O'Neill will take questions.

Mustang Athletics

Cross Country and Girls Volleyball are in full swing! Join us Monday evening on Facebook Live as we stream our Girls Volleyball team's first game!

Virtual College Visits During Lunch

College virtual visits are happening throughout the fall for 9th -12th grade. All the visits are located in google classroom under the course titled “College Virtual Visits” . On campus students may join Ms. O’Neill in the library during lunch to participate in a college visit.

NACAC Virtual College Fairs

The NACAC Virtual College Fairs are occurring throughout the fall! For each session, more than 600 colleges will offer Zoom meetings. These fairs offer an unparalleled opportunity for students to explore their college options! See below for dates & links.
