Welcome to the Week of September 6, 2020
While we are very excited to be anticipating the return to campus of many of our students in just a few short days, we are steadfastly committed to maintaining the same high quality classical education for all our students, whether they choose to return to campus or remain in Distance Learning. Our sincere thanks to all who joined us for our recent Town Hall to discuss our plans for a Safe Return to in-person school. For more information on our plans and to access numerous resources related to our Safe Return, visit greatheartsirving.org/safereturn.

We hope all our families have a safe and wonderful holiday weekend. Our teachers are also eager to share some wonderful information about the curriculum and instruction your children will be experiencing this year at our virtual Curriculum Night. Don't forget that due to the shortened week, this Friday is a full day and will feature a full schedule of lessons on Google Classroom.

A Closer Look
Sowing the Seeds of Wonder
On Labor Day Monday, September 7, your family is invited to join our "Master of Dirt" Paula Ferguson on campus in rejuvenating our grade level garden beds.

Curriculum Night
On Wednesday, September 9, we will host our annual Curriculum Night. Ordinarily, we would invite parents to campus for this event, but since that is not possible, your child's teacher will record a video outlining the curriculum your child will experience this year and post it to Google Classroom.

On the Horizon
Grade 5 Open Forum
Throughout the year, Ms. Finn will be hosted parents of each grade level for an Open Forum. Ordinarily, we would host these events in person in our lunchroom called the Forum. This year it will be necessary for the event to be virtual. Stay tuned for more details on how to attend.
North Texas Giving Day
North Texas Giving Day is an annual generosity event spanning the region that empowers everyone to become a philanthropist. The incredible, classical education we offer is only possible through support from our family community. Consider giving on North Texas Giving Day.

Safe Return Meet and Greet
On Monday, September 21 we will welcome students back into the building for the first time since March for an opportunity to say hello to their teacher in person, drop off materials and medication, and pick up carline placards. Be sure to sign up for a time if your student will be returning to school in person.
