The Romans looked at the time between ending and beginning anew as one that was especially significant, one in which good could be brought into the world—they had their own god dedicated to such times, Janus, from which we derive the name of the month January. It is appropriate, then, that now in the month of January that we close one semester and look forward to another. Congratulations are due to all of us on completing the first semester of such a year! As we end one semester, we look forward to another semester hoping to ease previous difficulties and seeking opportunities to be changed for the better.
The above message is reiterated from a communication that was sent to many families yesterday concerning changes in student sections for the second semester. All families of 6-9th grade and 11th grade students should have received this message as well as families of 10th and 12th grade distance learners. If you have not already, please be sure to read the message before we return from this long weekend on Wednesday.
Please also keep your eye on your inboxes on Tuesday, as Quarter 2/Semester 1 report cards will be sent to families then.
