Welcome to the Week of November 8, 2020
This has been a challenging week as our community faces positive COVID cases and others affected by close contact. We implore everyone to take precautions in their daily lives as well as at school, including wearing masks over the nose and mouth, washing hands regularly, and maintaining a social distance.

In the poem “Ulysses” by Alfred Lord Tennyson, the aging hero of the Trojan War and Homer's Odyssey comes face to face with the temptation to feel despair. But the poem also reminds us of the importance that life’s struggles can be met with optimism and the strength to persevere:
Tho' much is taken, much abides; and tho'
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
