Church Work Day

It's time for some Spring Cleaning! All are welcome to join the Property Committee on Saturday, March 21, 8 a.m. - 12 p.m., as they tidy up our grounds/buildings. Bring work gloves and a little "elbow grease," and come enjoy some fellowship.

Each year this congregation dedicates a special time to seeking God through extended prayer in preparation for Christ’s resurrection. The Easter Prayer Vigil is a significant event in the life of our church where each participant devotes at least one hour to focused prayer for the concerns, needs and thanksgivings of our community and the world at large. The goal of the vigil is to have at least one person offering up prayers in the Chapel beginning immediately after the Good Friday service on April 3 and continually until sunrise Easter morning. Please consider committing one hour of your time to participate in this prayer vigil. A variety of materials will be available to help guide your prayer hour. Signup sheets are available in the Chapel and Narthex before and after each Worship service. An on-line signup option is also available at this link. More than one person can signup for each time slot. Groups and families are encouraged to signup together as well.

If you are unable to be present in the Chapel, you are encouraged to join the prayer vigil throughout the weekend anywhere - anytime. Additionally, we ask that you submit prayer request cards to communicate your concerns or celebrations which will be raised up to God by the participants throughout the prayer vigil. Prayer request cards can be placed in the Sunday offering plate or in appropriately marked boxes around the church campus. Giving Reminder

Please remember to keep payments for goods/services (flowers/books/retreats/etc.) separate from charitable giving (pledge/special offerings/etc.). It not only helps our bookkeeping, your accountant will also be grateful!

• If you write checks, they need to be different checks for each type of giving - although feel free to combine special offerings with your pledge check, just make sure you note in the memo area how to divide it.
• If you give online, we now have an account specifically for "payments" in the list of available funds. This is mandated by the Presbyterian Foundation to differentiate between tax-deductible and non-tax-deductible giving.

Remember: if there is an item/service associated, the giving is not tax-deductible!

Sanctuary Flower Sign-up

It's time to sign-up for sponsoring flowers for our Sanctuary in 2026! The sign-up sheet is located outside of the receptionist’s office in the main church office building.

If you are unable to sign up in person, you may also contact Sarah Wolak at 334-728-7853 to sign up for a date. You are welcome to split the cost with another family-- just be sure to write both names on the line. The cost of the flowers is $50 per arrangement, not including tax and delivery fee. As before, you are welcome to bring the arrangements home after the service, or to leave them to be delivered to other members of the congregation.

Easter Lilies

If you would like to order a lily to be placed in our sanctuary on Easter Sunday, you may fill out a paper form (also available in the narthex) or complete this Google form by Monday, March 30. Checks may be mailed to the church office or placed in the collection plate on Sundays (please do NOT include on same check as pledge payments - thank you!). If a plant is given in your honor (or in memory of a family member), please take it home after the 11:00 a.m. Easter service.

Children and Youth News

Children Pre-K through 5th grade

• Children's Musical Experience continues this Sunday. Children K-5th grade will meet in Baird Hall for recreation from 4-4:15. Then they'll head down to Conway for rehearsal. Dinner in Baird Hall will be from 5-5:30.
• 3rd through 5th Grade Parents! Being an acolyte is a great way for your child to be a part of worship leadership! Click this link and sign up today!!!
• Sunday School:  Children's Sunday school will meet this Sunday from 10-10:45 downstairs in their Sunday school classrooms. 
• Godly Play: After the Word to Grow By, children Pre-K through 2nd grade will head down to the Godly Play room for worship and fun! 
• Worship bags are available for all children during worship.

Senior and Junior High Youth

• Jr/Sr High Youth: Youth will meet for dinner in Baird Hall at 5pm and youth group upstairs in the youth lounge from 5:30-6:30. Bring a friend! 
• Senior High Dinner and Bible Study: Sr. High Youth will meet this Wednesday from 6 - 7:30 at the Sarkowski house for dinner, fellowship, and a Bible study.
• Jr/Sr High Parents: Fellowship around a meal together is an extremely important part of our youth ministry! To help make that happen, please click this link and signup to provide a meal for our youth on a Sunday evening.
